It has great ambiance and energy. The lounge was easily accessible and there was not a wait. Great drinks and bar staff and the music and vibe were top shelf. The company I was with made it even more of a fantastic time. Would definitely return.

Nice place, amazing bartenders who can make you a custom cocktail, friendly people, all in all the mood was great. The only thing that put a dent in all that was the DJ. This dude did not read the room - changing the beats like a 10yr old, without continuity - at one point, after he played "Hypnotize" by BIG, he went and put some 2019's dance hit 😕
Aqua Lounge, if you're reading this, change the DJ - the guy before knew what he was doing.
This is the lounge bar inside of the fashion island hotel. It's a big open space concept lounge. There is amply seating for groups of any size. Also, booths for some privacy. Only knock on this place is that on weekend nights it turns into a night club. The music is loud and security is everywhere. Drinks are priced for fashion island, be prepared.
Very great atmosphere. The bartenders and servers are so great and fun. And this is during happy hour. A must visit if in Newport Beach.
The valet was courteous and efficient. The environment was clean and friendly. Sat at the bar and was served promptly. Staff treated my wife well when leaving bar area(setting up for busy club night) they do take bar stools before the DJ starts but are nice about it. We will go back.
Amazing staff , attentive and hospitable. Bartenders are great company to sit with for hours. Large TVs if you wanna watch the game. Nightclub get busy around 11 pm, they do close early around 1 so make this the first stop of the night not the last . Great atmosphere!!!
Great place for a good happy hour! Very clean and spacious. The blue lighting really sets the mood. The bartender and waitresses are very friendly and they pour some pretty stiff drinks! Keep up the good work!

Aqua Lounge is an upscale bar located inside the Fashion Island Hotel that offers a great selection of cocktails and some great music.
I came here with a couple of friends after a reception at the hotel and it did not disappoint. The lounge was very busy because of the reception and there was quite a range of people there, but it was definitely more of an older crowd when I went that night.
The bar itself holds about 4 bartenders so you can get your drinks quickly. Their menu has a wonderful selection but my boyfriend and I opted for a jack and coke ($12) and a red bull vodka ($12.40). Both of these were cheaper than their signature cocktails and still had about 2 oz or so per beverage.
Aqua Lounge has a very intimate space with lots of table seating. They have a small dance floor as well with a DJ playing hip hop. I found that the music became a bit repetitive towards the end of the night but I still had an enjoyable time.
Overall, I loved my experience here and prefer Aqua Lounge to Eats in Hotel Irvine. I would definitely consider returning for another event.
Pro tip: make sure to validate your ticket with the valet!
I enjoyed my experience overall, but I just can't bring myself to give it that coveted 5th star. Our server was friendly and helpful, but both our burgers were made incorrectly. It's a simple mistake, of course, but one that shouldn't have been made twice in one evening - especially at a 5 star hotel like the Island Hotel.
Their happy hour burgers are super tasty and only 5 dollars! No complaints about price or taste.
I recommend making sure your order is communicated clearly to the staff, and definitely try it out during Happy Hour.
Came here for a after dinner drink with some friends and it’s was an interesting place with definitely an older crowd vibe. They were playing all the 2000 crowd favorites so the girls love dancing. Drinks are pricy but it is to be expected in the area.
