Love coming here. Frozen banana is awesome! The cookie is huge and the balboa bar is really good. Lines get long though so be ready to wait. I love coming here whenever the family visits Newport Beach. It’s a must stop! The frozen banana never disappoints. My go to is milk chocolate with everything topping! Parking on the island is a pain sometimes because there’s limited parking and the line for the banana gets long pretty often. We’ve come late at night and in the afternoon and the line was long at both times during the day. So just expect to wait a bit and hopefully you find parking quick! This is worth it and an absolute must visit if you’re in the area!

First time on Balboa Island and had to get the frozen banana in tribute to Arrested Development. Such a simple yet perfect treat. I got the milk chocolate dip with Reese’s PB drizzle. Classic combo. Chefs kiss. Went at 2pm on a Wed and there was no line. However, parking in the area is a little tricky but once you score a spot, I suggest walking around to visit all the local shops!

Been coming here since I was a kid, always a tasty treat! I got a frozen banana with sprinkles and toasted coconut. I wanted to get peanuts on it as well but you are limited to 2 toppings. My boyfriend got frozen cheesecake on a stick with Oreo crumbles as the topping. So yummy! If you’re in Balboa, you have to stop by this spot!

There's always money in the banana stand! This is the OG frozen banana stand. I had a Balboa bar with peanuts and caramel sauce, best ice cream bar I've ever had. It's worth the hype

I recently tried a frozen banana for the first time at Sugar ‘n Spice. Keeping it simple I opted for chocolate and sprinkles for the topping. Although a bit hard to bite into compared to ice cream I really enjoyed it. It was delicious! I recommend checking them out.

You can't go wrong with a frozen banana on a warm day. They have plenty of toppings to choose from and the service was simple yet great! The frozen banana pairs well with their lemonade as well. I guess you could say, "there's always money in the banana stand".

There is always money in the banana stand! If you know what that line is from then you are already probably planning to get one of these delicious dipped and topped frozen bananas or a yummy Balboa bar! You have your choice of topping, we went for the “everything” on the banana and watched as it was hand dipped and sprinkled with deliciousness. The Balboa bar gives you a choice of ice cream (or sorbet) and toppings. Service was pretty fast although it kept getting slowed down by folks overwhelmed by the choices!
