I am a Tuesday night 1/2 price burger regular. I eat low carb, so always have a special order. No bun and sub broccoli for the fries. Most times my food comes out as ordered. The regular staff is tremendous! Wish I could name names, but I overall have good experiences at Deerpark!
I’ve been coming to Deer Park since I can remember. Great times there in college, awesome Sunday brunches with family, even had Sunday brunch the day after my wedding there 😁 It’s not fancy dining but that’s why I love it - it’s great service, good food, great drink specials, live music and fun times. Deer Park will always have a special place in my heart!
Old timey 1800s hotel that excels as a local pub for both the Newark crowd and Blue Hen student body. My Buffalo Wing Egg Roll was outstanding and the bar tending staff was super attentive and fast af. went back for the Farmhouse Burger, and it was perfectly prepared. I'm calling, Best Burger in Newark.
Went for our 40th college reunion (yes you read that right!!)...got there around 6:30, no one was there except a small group of us. Set up shop at some high top tables and the rest of the group got there between 7:00 and 8:00. Had a good selection of beers and some good appetizers. Had a great waitress...Ellen was her name. At around 10:00, all the "kids" showed up. It was great to see that the Deer Park is still the place to go!! We plan on going back sooner than 40 years!!
This place is really big inside and even has two bar areas. We've wanted to try it for a while but when college is in session, it always looks pretty crowded after 7:00. We went on a Wednesday in July and even though the parking lot was full, there were plenty of tables as well as seats at the largest bar (the other wasn't open). The Brussels sprouts were good but a little underdone and the farmhouse burger was good but they were out of mushrooms. (Since it's only about half an hour from the mushroom capitol of the East Coast, that seemed odd.) My husband had a pizza which wasn't bad for a bar pizza but I'd suggest getting something else. The appetizers took quite a long time to come out and fries with the burger were room temp. The bartenders were personable and the drinks were nice size.
First time here and was in the area for business. College town, so lots of places to visit. This place was terrific for lunch, and the food and service were spot on. If I was local I'd be back!
Walked into a Historic district bar in Elkton Delaware and was greeted by Courtney and amazing bartender...needs a raise...Thank u...had a great time
It's a historical place so the fact you can sit in there and eat in a sanitary state is award winning it's self. Food was great the only place you can get outside of a Chinese fast food restaurant to get cheese steak egg roll. To describe them I would say OMG then my mouth would water 😊,...... Last thing because I'm not going to detail everything, I'm a firm believer lettuce and tomato should come on every burger though no charge!!!!
Busy, the server was nice at first and then she must have got busy or somebody was mean to her, she was different later on.
I will go back.
Don't get the stew.
I liked the history of the place. But it's too bad they built that parking garage across the street, from it. I don't know what was there before. It should have just been a park. You know LANG.
I went there for my 21st birthday, it was my first time there, oh my god, wouldn’t celebrate it anywhere else! Everything was great! Our server Danielle K. was phenomenal, give her a raise, please!
