Warren Street Cafe

I've had Smasburger and this place was off. After a really long wait, I expected the burger to be top notch, but it wasn't. The people in front of me were also waiting a while even after I got there. It wasn't particularly too busy even though I did go around lunch time. The staff were friendly. The soda machine was out of ice, and there was water on the floor around the machine. Don't expect this to be a quick grab and go type of place. Expect to spend at least 20-30 mins waiting for your order.

It’s okay. Decent-Good food. But always expect to be in-store for 20mins unless you order ahead. This location is a bit Odd because w/it being prime real estate for foot traffic of both resident & commuting students, the restaurant seems closed more times then open, and I live nearly a stone throw away. Last night, I visited with 2 others. I had ordered 2 bacon smash burgers,& a large smash fry. My roomate ordered a fried chicken sandwich w/a milkshake. We had waited 22 mins & then kiddingly my friend who thought his order would take much longer-came up first. Good thing too, because only hadn’t I heard them calling his name, to come back would this be an entirely different review. The cook nodded to the counter girl to get the customer back, as he was still holding the sandwich’s “set up”.(the lettuce,cheese & Tomato) Then my order came up roughly within 4mins of that. His milkshake came up within the 1st 3mins of the entire wait, which I thought was a bit off. Drinks should come up with or after the food served for takeout. His milkshake was quite watery by the time we left. I also agree with another reviewer that the take out service method needs some work. The place was clean, the staff friendly- and the wait didn’t stop me from filling one of my local cravings from time to time, but I did notice their wasn’t exactly a “balance” between online & in-house orders. Which is eventually necessary for repeat business. Especially this store doesn’t offer or have the same delivery contracts OR hours as most of the other franchise. I’m sure il be back though, hopefully they can fix the wait time problems… **Also the fact that the location closed entirely on Saturday & Sunday is definitely hurting the business. Most weekends students look elsewhere for something different then campus food after a long week. Professors and community members alike. Maybe the hours can be looked into? Especially when summer comes along & many students like myself stay Newark residents all year. Thanks

Worst smash burger I’ve been to, rude Custmer service and disgusting attitude, I got a milkshake that it’s 6$ I got half cup and when I asked I was told to save place for the whip cream and when I explained that I dont want whip cream I was told that I have to get it the same way as if I asked for one. Will never be back!

It probably designed for the future when less people come here because it literally has only one register and maybe one cook to handle all the people came for opening week. But it’s confusing that they have ads all over the place prompt you to download their app to get discount while the register girl told me they don’t take coupons from their app. So the app is useless here. Nothing can be redeemed and no point will be earned. The service are better compared to other traditional fast food chain. Most people love their burgers but I find the avocado in mine is not the best quality.
