Stopped in for a quick meal last night. The wait staff was incredibly friendly as were the other patrons in the restaurant who struck up a conversation with me. I ordered a personal Thai favorite: pineapple fried rice with chicken. Easily the best version of this dish I've ever had. The meat was cooked perfectly and imagine my pleasant surprise when the (excellently steamed) rice dish also included raisins and golden raisins. This was a new take on the dish for me and highly welcomed. Additionally, the meal was served inside a pineapple which was equal parts delicious as well as beautiful. I will definitely be going back soon!
M. sokol. Tasty food; good service. Ordered way too much and it would have been nice for the waiter to give us a heads up on the size of the servings so we would have shared more and ordered less. Music much, much too loud.
Amazingly Delicious!. We had the crunchy tuna with mango tartar appetizer (fantastic), two miso soups (large and very good), a bowl of rice and one order of the Amber West Sashimi Special ($32, and worth every penny and then some). 6 different kinds of fish including King Crab and lots of Toro (fatty cut that tastes amazing). Total bill came to $52.80 + tax/tip and fed two of us comfortably. Would definitely recommend and will be back!
Just go. My go to Thai place every time I come to NY for work. LOVE it.
SUSHI!. Yes, this sushi is delicious! With large American portion sizes, a couple rolls can easily be shared between two people. While the atmosphere is chic (catering to the location), the food is definitely original and you can taste the freshness! They also have some live shows upstairs, which I've yet to check out. The food is definitely worth the trip. Mmmm, I think I've dreamt about this place more than once.
