Food is good, some of it great, BUT, the service is awful and the prices are too high. Sure its a hotel restaurant, but I can walk a block away and get food just as good for half the price. I know its New York, I come often and know prices are higher here, but this place is ridiculous. Guests will pay anything for convenience sometimes and the hotel takes huge advantage of that.
The worst thing is that for the price you pay you get horrible service morning, noon or night, there are long lines and the slowest cashiers EVER. I waited 3 minutes to get two coffees it was another 3-4 minutes to get rung up and pay. Seriously??? and that was above the 19 minute wait for 3 people ahead of me till I got to cashier.
Great idea having the sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches premade and you just pick them up and pay, but wow that slow staff. Always see 2-3 people behind the counter just standing and staring. There are 4 registers, never seen more than 2 in use even when long line and others just standing. Does management not realize the more people you push thru in an hour can up your profit quite a bit? Especially since you are paying the people anyhow, put them to work and get your customers thru. I have walked away many times and seen more walk away, thats money walking out the door folks.
Again the food is pretty good and I will occasionally eat from there if I have a time crunch or some reason I can't get away. By the way, the menu prices on zomato are wrong, add $4 per item and it should be about right.
I'm staying at the Hilton Hotel Midtown, the breakfast is served at Herb N' Kitchen, there usually is a small queue, buf it is totally worth the wait. The place is super clean, service quite fast, the staff really friendly, and the food is great. I highly recommend both the hotel and the breakfast buffet.
Just outside the restaurant, there is a convenient market of sorts where you can get breakfast to go or a late night snack (they’re open until 1am). They offer healthy options as well as things to cheat with!. The restaurant has many different options for seating, traditional tables for those who may be here with their family and a cool bar area, shown above, if perhaps you are on business and are having breakfast alone.
