The curry is the best I tasted so far. Great 👍🏼 The place is cute, and you can have your meal solo without feeling uncomfortable, the bar table in front of the kitchen is great, see picture. Only a small practical comment, in wintertime it is quite cold every time the door opens, so maybe do something about that? Maybe an additional curtain outside? Just an idea. Will be back for sure!!

Been coming here since 2000. Ramen is oldschool and wholesome. Chicken Katsu buns are delicious but pricy. Chashu is fresh, grilled beautifully. Takoyaki is great too!

The most lovely little restaurant!! They prepared our order in record time and delivered it perfectly. The food was hot when it arrived and so tasty! They also left us a cute little note thanking us for our order. Do yourself a favor and try their food! It was delightful!

We were looking for a place to eat in the area after our original restaurant was unavailable. We came in and were seated immediately. Despite being by the door, we were not cold or felt like we were getting interrupted by visitors. The server was attentive. Our food came out pretty quickly. I found that the broth for our ramen wasn't as flavorful as I've experienced at other places. By no means was it bland but it was missing a few more dashes of spices to make it stand out. However I recognize that restaurants and chefs have off days; plus it was almost closing time. I took my leftover ramen home doctored it slightly and it was perfect. If I were in the area again, I'd be willing to try it again. We ordered 3 dishes but I forgot to take a photo of the other 2 dishes

The curry was just ok. Nothing more than what you could easily make at home. The Berkshire Pork Katsu was below what we expect - with the breaded skin a bit over cooked and the inner pork not juicy. We were able to sit in heated outdoor dining without waiting at a Friday night, which was nice. But I must say the red/blue decor lighting was really not good for a restaurant. They made the food look awful and maybe that’s also part of the reason why I was not enjoying the food. I did some photoshop to the photos as I was trying show their real colors instead of the weird red/blue. Overall service was good. It’s nice that the outdoor dining is separated by parties, and each gets its own door. But there was no actual wall, and every time the servers who came to serve us food ended up standing there with our door open asking the tables next to us what they need etc. It’s a cold night and I was just wondering how much time they saved by not closing our door or just going to their tables for questions? It’s not a big deal but could be improved. We had better curry place in East Village and would probably not go back to this place as it’s pricy compared to its average level of food.

The katsu curry is the best one I have ever had in US!!!!! The takoyaki is outstanding as well! I also ordered the homemade soda, forgot the name but you should definitely try!

They were amazing, a place I used to recommend to others. It seems like they are now sharing space with another restaurant and the quality has definitely declined. It used to be such an amazing spot with really good, authentic and reasonably priced Japanese snack food. Instead the takoyaki tonight were disappointing - overcooked and lacking flavor. No bonito flakes like they used to have on top anymore either.

Ate here with some friends and the food was really good and also the servers were so kind! I had some concerns with my food and they were super nice about it and remade it, and even gave us a free dessert even though they did nothing wrong. Got the chicken katsu curry and the okonomiyaki, and both were delicious!
