Excellent service. The pizzas are honestly pretty run off the mill. Personally didn't enjoy the fig and pear pizza all that much but the mozzarella sticks are good. The atmosphere is really what sells the place. The founder was a theater person and the place is covered with memorabilia, photos and the like. They have a cute outdoor place during winters. Yes there are better pizza places in the city but this does the job of you're in the area. It's right off the highline and is a decent alternative to artichoke pizza close by, though I don't think they cater to similar audiences.

Amazing experience! The food was 10/10! Delicious pizza, great crust. The service was so fast and servers were very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience how good all the food was and great value. We even tried one of the soup specials and were shocked how delicious! We got some cannolis on the house which we could tell were freshly made. Highly recommend!

Not so hidden gem!! If a pizza joint can do a margarita pizza properly then they’re okay in my book. The margarita pizza was outstanding, the service quick and attentive, and the ambiance was comfortable.

The pizza was amazing! You can tell they use very fresh ingredients, and you can see their awesome pizza chef stretch out the dough behind the counter whilst preparing the pizza! Our waiter was very nice as well.

I’ve been to Don Giovanni several times and each time the food has been great. Shiva at the Chelsea location gives great service, is attentive, and friendly! Would come back. Also, follow their Instagram— we were able to win an awesome giveaway!

I was recommended here by an individual who has worked in Italian restaurants here in NYC.Truly one of the most underrated Italian restaurants. I’ve come here twice and have gotten the chicken franchese twice. Probably in the top 3 that I’ve had here in nyc. In a lot of restaurants, it’s too citric for me but it seems like they make adjustments on their lemon white wine sauce depending on how acidic the lemons are. Pooja was my server both times. Super friendly and attentive. Asaf was here on my second visit and recommended me the porta bella mushrooms. Please please please do not take it off the menu !

Was really not impressed. Had the meat pizza and veggie pizzas both came out and were a bit flat in flavor and a non crispy crust. I would have preferred to spend my calories on 2 brothers pizza or something similar with a basic pizza and bomb NY crispy crust
