Seriously the best French toast with lox ever. And the best quiche I've ever eaten. The staff was welcoming and attentive. Must go again....
This is a place is not to be missed. We used their Milk Bread to make French toast at home. Real Maple syrup, Irish butter, and organic eggs and milk has never had a more worthy companion. Also the owner is ridiculously handsome and good looking, the staff all had proper manners and the vibe is peaceful. Dead Popovers becomes the delightfully reborn Kirsh mainstay of the upper west side, conveniently next door to the Famous Barney Greengrass fish and bagels. Brunch on the upper west side just got Tight!
Food was good. Can't complain. Got an omelette and french toast. Pricey but not overly pricey and expected for the neighborhood. Service was excellent and would come again. Nothing spectacular or memorable. There are other hotspots nearby but with much longer waits.
I went brunch here about a month ago on a Saturday by myself. I usually order out if I am by myself, but I wanted to eat out today and I appreciate they did not make me wait for a table for two. There were no tables left for two so they gave me a table for four, which I appreciate greatly. However, they were very understaffed - it seemed like there was one waiter for the whole inside of the restaurant and people were getting inpatient with him. I hope they are working to improve the staffing concerns.
Cute spot to grab brunch or snack! I recommend any of their bakery items especially the French toasts, which includes savory or sweet options. It also offers your classic foods like soups and salads, but the real standout is still their fresh pastries.
Kirsch provides an upscale, but relatable experience in dining. We visited for brunch after the NYC Half Marathon after a recommendation from friends in the niegjborhood. After a short wait, we ordered sweet AND savory French toast, quiche, and the full english breakfast. We ended up passing each dish around the table because of the unique tastes each had. The owner is also hands on in a great way and we appreciated seeing him working on the floor.
The best croissant in the city! After a long search (seriously, read my previous reviews to check out the other bakeries I went to) I finally found my favorite bakery in NYC! Located at the UWS it is also a great place to sit and enjoy baked goods with family and kids.
Excellent bakery. Great breakfast. Very nice atmosfear. The owner, Anat was very friendly and professional.
We will sure come back when we are in NYC.
Omg!! The food its amazing and the staff really awesome!!the girl on the till is just adorable ! She makes me feel home ! Love this place!iam om holidays and i glad i found this place!! THANK YOU ♥️♥️
What a fantastic place to stop by for brunch!! It was super busy but the service was friendly and relatively speedy all things considered. I love the little goat cheese puffs they serve with some of the dishes, though they are a little on the salty side for me. The bread and pastry basket was delicious, and the quiche was so good. I also really liked the contemporary decor. I would definitely recommend for a tasty weekend breakfast or brunch!!
We had a great Brunch experience!
We took an incredible omelet which comes with two custom toppings, home fries and salad, and a French toast (on the photo below) with amazingly good home made Lox on top of a fluffy like a cloud toast!
The service was at the first class level and we even got some complementary bubbling cocktail "Kirsh Royal", while waiting for the table!
Of course after the brunch we took home some goodies from the bakery shop, which both salted and sweet where as special as the bakery itself!
Special thanks to the Chef, for this AMAZING EXPERIENCE!
Just tried the sandwiches and the burger but they were all great. Loved the homemade fries and the very generous portions. Service was great too.
