Manna's is a staple in Harlem. After church, you come to Manna's. After work you come to Manna's. After brunch you come to Manna's lol. Great soulfood good people and the new spot on st. Nick is so cute I love the outdoor seating.
Wow, this restaurant has bold flavors and they don’t hold back. The only gripe I have is that the roasted chicken that I got was incredibly dry and tough. However, it was packed with so much flavor that it was OK when paired with, their really delicious Dirty rice and their sweet green beans.
The rice had sautéed peppers, spices, and sausage. It was really soft and super flavorful.
Do not pass up on their green beans. I thought I would not like it as I usually don’t care for the standard green beans. I get at American restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised to see that these were really sweet and juicy! Highly recommend.
And as I mentioned at the beginning, their chicken was very tough and dry, but the flavor was there. I will give them a pass as it was pretty late at night, and that chicken probably was cooked earlier in the day.
The name speaks for itself. Soul food, Caribbean, black food sold by the pound. So build a plate to your liking. Very clean buffet. It’s a super buffet with spaghetti, chicken wings, oxtails, watermelon, salad, jerk chicken, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, peach cobbler, deviled eggs, turkey wings, etc. there’s so many options for every taste. Average customer service. Reasonable price. outdoor seating available. Great value!!!
Food it great but the African guy started to be petty buy putting too much butter and season on my food … I told him about himself and I told him next time I’m going to report his ass… I felt like I was going to have a heart attack.. please plates are the best kept secrets in Harlem… u get two strips of salmon five medium shrimp mini corn pasta potatoes broccoli all
For 10 dollars check it out tell him
Not to put too much butter on and season with on the food
Manna’s is an amazing restaurant with great food and commitment to Harlem. It has always served dishes that celebrate the historic culture of Harlem. Southern and Caribbean taste is satisfying here‼️
Everything was perfect! Rice & peas, turkey wings, jerk chicken, mac & cheese, collard greens were very tasty. Best soul food I've had in Harlem. High recommended. I could eat there every day. Huge selections to choose from.
It was wonderful to see the owner on the back preparing your food. She claimed to have been in this location for 40 years. They have partition following covid restrictions. They also have buffet style in the front of location. The food and price were great!
I have been going to this establishment since I was a child with my Father. I can't type enough fabulous words about the kindness about the attentive and friendly people that work there and the food... the food is OUTSTANDING. MADE WITH LOVE!!
I've gone too long without knowing that manna's served chitterlings everyday. I love it! My husband likes the rest of their non pork non shellfish food.
As of August 12, 2023 looks like this location has moved to St. Nicholas. I passed by the previous location and it was all gated up. New place has more outdoor seating and indoor doesn't seem to be ready yet fully. Same great food options and super friendly staff. Vibe remains community oriented and incredibly welcoming.
