Interesting and creative sushi place. Some dishes are really good - white tuna sushi with seared tomato and triple decker with caviar and uni. Other dishes are not so good, such as fried chicken and seaweed salad. But overall, it is a good sushi spot in the city

Truly amazing, All omakaze are so tasty, yet delicate. This location are always busy which is good thing for them! So Reservation is recommended. The service also go along with food quality. Nice and friendly. The timing between each dish during busy time might take around 10-15min. We complete the whole set and total spend time there around 3hr. It’s a nice gathering with friend, family or coworker to have conversation during special dinner.

Sushi Seki has great sushi, and it is open very late too! Come in, sit at the sushi bar, say "omikase", and lots of great sushi appears. Third time here. I think it was even better than the last time. The great pieces of nigari just keep showing up. Anyway, they’re all so good!

The service and food were excellent! Some of the best sushi we’ve had in a while.

Absolutely delicious omakase for a pretty penny. They do open omakase so it keeps going until you ask for it to close off. If you have a budget, you can estimate at about $40 per plate round. We came here for our anniversary dinner and was pleasantly blown away. Every piece of fish we had was really interesting and incredibly tasty. The fatty tuna melts without needing to chew in your mouth, the oyster was just the right amount of brininess that my partner who usually dislikes oysters was happy with the flavour while I love a very strong oyster which this hit the right spot for. Their sautéed tomatoes compliments the other dishes very well, the scallop is very tender with the right amount of salt and lemon, and my favourite might’ve been then tofu sushi with tuna and tofu sauce! Overall it was quite crowded for a Friday night at 7pm and the area inside the restaurant is quite small. Consider coming earlier or calling to make a reservation ahead of time.

Personally this is my favorite sushi spot in NYC. I ordered the Sushi dinner and my partner ordered the seki special. Both great choices if you want variety. Omakase is also very good here. This location offers indoor and outdoor dining. As of right now the restaurant is not requiring proof of vax. I recommend you make a reservation as it is quite popular.

Quality sushi and great service, but prices seemed to be very high and the environment felt a little cramped. They have a very wide selection of cold Sake, highly recommend getting a bottle, although it will cost you around $75 for the average bottle. Keep in mind that what you see on the menu is not everything that's available. You can mix and match usual sushi and roll combinations, and there's also a "secret" sushi menu for more interesting one pieces. The fatty tuna cost $7 a piece when we were there. Whole dinner cost about $400 for 4 people including tip with one bottle of Sake. It's a good spot, but just seems to be very expensive. There were no "showstoppers" or visual effects like putting anything on fire etc. They didn't have crispy rice or even a vegetable gyoza. They should work on appealing more to the vegan and kosher crowd.

Be prepared to pay, but this place is awesome. The hours, the kitchen staff hangout factor, the fact that it's busy late...it's serious sushi. But it's a whitefish bone short of being in MichelinStar land. Everything delivered as requested, but after 22 pieces, nothing had a seriously creative bent. Service was very good and having the omakase at my lone little 2-top up front was fine, but the bar is where the action is.

Came here on the eve of my birthday for the Omakase. What an amazing experience. There was some pretty out of the box sushi served and not a single one was a disappointment. Pricewise was in the mid range.

I want to give this place a 5. What I liked: 1. We told them we weren’t comfortable w the outdoor table they gave us because it was on top of two other tables, so they happily moved us.(thank you!) 2. The food was delicious. The quality was high. The flavor was poppin. 3. The service was good, not great, but good enough. What I didn’t like: There was a group of four teenagers RIGHT next to our table. Two were seated and two were standing in the narrow space btw their table and ours. They were squealing like the school girls they were for 25 mins. I asked them to keep their voice down and they didn’t. I asked the waiter to address the volume, the proximity, and he didn’t. I asked him AFTER we had already placed our order and both of us ordered a main that was over $50 each and a glass of wine. We are here spending money, they should respectfully control the crowd, especially when those in question are paying w mommy and daddy’s money.
