Overall Thoughts: A quick and easy spot to grab an affordable, delicious banh mi and other Vietnamese staples in the Little Italy / Chinatown area. All banh mis are under $10 (for now), and the counter service was quick and friendly. The interior is designed mostly for takeout, but there is some limited seating along the walls. The line was short and it wasn't too crowded when I arrived around 1:30pm on a Saturday.
Food I tried:
- "Spicy" BBQ Pork Banh Mi (4.7/5): This banh mi was delicious-- the bread was fresh and pillowy, the veggies were crisp and crunchy, and the grilled pork meat was tender and flavorful. I liked that they added a slice of cold cut in there too; most spots don't do that if you order grilled meat, but it helped enhance the flavor. It was only called "spicy" due to the addition of jalapeños.
- Shrimp Summer Rolls (4.5/5): $8 order comes with 3 large summer rolls that are fresh and tightly wrapped. They tasted good-- pretty standard, light, and delicious.

My go-to banh mi spot in Manhattan. Growing up, my parents always grabbed sandwiches from here each time they were in Chinatown. I usually recommend the #1 from here to ease my non-Vietnamese friends into banh mi. Some people aren't too fond of all the cold cuts most traditional banh mi contains. Unlike other places where their #1 usually includes multiple cold cuts, the #1 here is mostly barbecued pork and a slice of cha lua. My siblings and husband prefer the #1 from here, whereas I crave the traditional #13 more often. This time, I wanted something less meaty, so I ordered their Banh Mi Chay. The tofu and veggies themselves were very delicious, but I felt like they would have been better on rice than in a sandwich. I will continue to branch out and try a different sandwich each time I visit.

$9.50 for a curry chicken Banh Mi. The chicken & veggies come on an extra large hero with a fantastic bite.
You will be WOWED by the flavors making you swoon. Spice level is optional, I prefer mild spicy 🌶️.
The place is not much to look at and take out only. The line tends to get long on weekends. Better to call ahead & only takes 10 minutes preparation. Definitely a hot spot on Grand St Little Italy 🇮🇹

We order a Pork banh Mi and was very tasty. The shrimp rolls were big and perfectly cooked. The sauce was perfect between sweet and savory. They have a small bar to eat. The service was pretty fast.

Banh Mi Saigon is one of the best in town. It is very busy at lunch time, but the service is quick and friendly. And the price is affordable.

Best bánh mì in Chinatown!! I always get the regular bbq pork (#1) with spicy sauce and it never let me down, very flavorful. They accept both cash and card now and it gets pretty busy around lunch time. Quick service tho and they have standing area to eat.

Still my go-to place for banh mi after all these years! Service is quick, staff are friendly and store is kept clean. A good variety of drink, dessert and sandwich options. Only a couple minutes walk from major subway stations.
The prices are still reasonable and the ingredients are fresh. I wish there was more filling in the past, but there's still enough to mix with the baguette - instead of having the bread overpower everything.

When I had the first bite of the Banh Mi Saigon (Signature), I was deported back to bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City through my taste buds. The pickled vegetables tasted so authentic and the pork was grilled to perfection.
The Goi Cuon (I found out its called Summer Rolls here) was made with fresh ingredients, you definitely HAVE to dip it with the sauce given to you. If you are brave, you should definitely have it with their chilli sauce.
Staff was helpful too as they provided a chair for my partner when she was feeling dizzy.
A must try in Chinatown!

Amazing Banh Mi! Everything was super fresh and the bread was crispy. The only thing is I didn’t realize it didn’t come with Pate and it was definitely missing that flavor! Overall amazing though, I would just add the pate if you like that!
