Very nice family setting restaurant that would be equally suited to a romantic dinner. Everyone from the wonderful hostess Conny to the waiter & bus staff were Fantastic! The food was exceptional, the wine was Great and dessert was perfect. Authentic Italian without all the overdone Americanized portions & sauce amounts This was a family meal for us, (Sweden & Colorado, USA) and was the perfect end to the vacation. The weather also cooperated, too.
We got to meet Max, the man in charge, too. 9.5 on the Paisano Scale! Bravo. Molto Grazie por Tutto!
It's always a treat to find a REAL Italian restaurant making REAL Italian food they way it's supposed to be made.
Great food at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend the fresh pasta of the day with their bolonese sauce.
Also, the freshly imported buffalo mozzarella was very nice. Felt like going to Italy. =)
Easily the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. Carlotta and Max are always wonderful hosts. Osteria del Principe is equally good for a quick business lunch as it is for a romantic dinner for two. I've even brought a group of 8 here with great results!
My son introduced me to this restaurant and it has become a standard favorite when he is in town-his treat. The fresh prosciutto (well-aged) is so good. The pasta is delicious and the wines wonderful.
This is by far the most Italian restaurant that we have found in New York. From the decor to the menu to the service, everything is done in the Italian way. This doesn't mean perfection, of course. The prosciutto is excellent, and the lamb ragu is delicious, but the ravioli left a bit to be desired. The broccoli were overcooked. The wine list was fantastic although we had to inquire about the vintage of several wines; we enjoyed a Refosko (Refošk) from Slovenia. We would return to explore more of the menu.
My wife and I had a meal here last night, we just happened to stumble upon it. The food was amazing , they made something off the menu for my wife . It was delicious. Highly recommend
Great food. I would recommend the Caprese to start. Delicious and handmade mozzarella melts in your mouth.
