One of my favorite spots in the area! Love coming here for soba especially their duck and tempura soba. The yakitori is also quite good. The servers are also quite efficient and polite. Highly recommended especially if you need to be close to Grand Central to catch a train. One thing to note is that some dishes may be a little on the saltier side but nothing too off.

Soba noodles are the main feature here. Veggie option is decent.

The dinner was fantastic. They offered authentic Japanese dishes starting a series small dishes, yakitori and soba noodles. Their sushi was exceptionally good while they don’t claim for a sushi place. Very reasonable and very well balanced beverage menu. Highly recommended!

What a lovely place for a quick lunch this was! Our food was ready very soon after we ordered and it was all incredibly delicious. I would highly recommend the Una Tama Donburi Rice bowl and the Tempura Soba!

Everything is perfect except for the order they brought out the food. They brought the yakitori before the soba. I think it might be better if the soba came first

It was good. The decor in the bar area (the first room on the left when you walk in) is the best spot here. Gorgeous room to be in with a great ambiance but a lot of the chairs are those uncomfortable metal stools. Really busy at lunch time. Lunch menu is different from the dinner menu. Restrooms have heated seats and bidets. I enjoyed the Japanese theme here a lot and appreciated how much they went into it with most things. I had an $18 lychee cocktail which I really didn’t like but I guess that’s my fault. It just tasted like low-alcohol sugar water. It also took quite a while to be ready so maybe their bartender does other things as well (like waiting tables as well instead of being just a bartender) Food was fine but we both decided we would likely order something else next time.

This had been (pre-pandemic) my go-to Japanese near GCT for several years. We had a decent meal but somehow it feels like it won’t be around for long. Prime time on a Thursday night was not even half full yet Resy said no tables available. Weird. My sashimi bowl was meh. The pork katsu curry was nice. Takoyaki was good and karaage was juicy. My beer at $9 felt small. Maybe I’ll give it another try if it’s still around.

Good food with attentive service! Their soba was definitely tasty! The vegetables soba I ordered got a little sweetness and the noodle was flavorful. The grilled meats and mushrooms were nicely priced with a wide range of taste. Their beef tongue was especially good. I don’t like their tuna tartar as it tasted not very fresh to me though my friend liked it a lot. Overall a very good Japanese restaurant with good price. Remember to make reservations or arrive early on Friday night. It is packed!
