Great burgers! They were juicy but not so juicy that the bun got soggy and gross. The fries were perfectly crispy. My only complaint was that they could have added more beef bacon to my burger. The desert was also pretty tasty. I liked the lemon custard one the best. The atmosphere is also really good.
The place is really preaty, but very tight, but the music is great.
The staff is amazing, very nice lively waiters.
Food Is good can't complian. Had the steak. I do think they need sweet potatoe fries, not impressed by the dessert, I had the peanut butter one.
Nice place, sat outside great setup. Staff is really helpful, but service is a little slow (they were full). The Buffalo chicken is yum, the Chicken tamales are interesting. The burgers are really good (especially the breakfast one) drinks are pretty decent. Pricey.
Kosher restaurant got moved.
Those who had previous experience with Amsterdam Burger that used to be a few blocks away I have to say that place was cozy.
The New Amsterdam Burger has its own vibe. Became a little bit different. Dishes changed a bit.
Even some staff remain the same.
In the old place they used to serve a classic burger with shoestring french fries, over here they are serving with thin cut potato chips.
That bite that you make with a crunch in it makes it a bit exciting to taste and complete the burger.
I met the owner of the New Amsterdam Burger and he told me that Marty who use to be the owner of the old spot had surgery and he is out for good.
I missed that gentlemen.
So what's so different about this place now?
Everything is different. They have new name, seatings outdoor, cocktail on the menu, beer, wine, basically full bar. The price changed significantly. That is expected. They signed a lease for 20 years and place is expensive to maintain with all the help in the kitchen and out in the diner area plus bar.
The taste of the burger is same. They took out zucchini chips and substituted with eggplant chips.
I took a picture of a menu see it for yourself if you've been there you will see the difference.
The staff is very pleasant owner is super nice guy works hard in that restaurant to provide you excellent service and great tasting food.
This place is strictly observe Shabbat and kashrut and all Jewish holidays.
Enjoy your next experience in New Amsterdam Burger
Wonderful food and service, sat at the bar during a busy short staff evening. Food was all excellent and the staff very attentive
Been waiting for New Amsterdam Burger to open for a while. Finally, the day has come and it is a continuation of the enjoyable experience they provided when they were in Amsterdam. The menu has expanded a bit, picture in the review. We ordered the Sausage Pancakes which were a plain pancake with crumbled chorizo and a honey-lime syrup. I would happily eat this for breakfast every day. Then we got the breast of veal sandwich and the french roast and both were great. The sauce on the veal was sweet and savory and not overpowering or too sloppy. The French toast was perfectly cut and flavor was spot on. We had a side of beef bacon which you can’t go wrong with. The server and staff were super helpful and knowing the restaurant just opened up they went above our expectations. Would happily return and hopefully the menu is updated periodically.
Food was good though sandwich was a bit underwhelming . Soup and as great and buffalo poppers were perfect. My one complaint was the price which was a bit expensive .
Great burger, nice place, different style place than the old one but very nice, recommended to make a reservation before, I did, took a Breakfast Burger and a regular, was very good, took also a sausage pancake for appetizer, was delicious as well, friendly staff, found parking right outside

Fresh food and nice service
Our family ate there on the night before Thanksgiving. We chose to eat outdoors, where several tables are available. It was a pleasant evening in terms of the weather and we didn't need a heater. There were 9 of us, 6 adults and 3 children. Everyone enjoyed his/her meal. The portions were generous and delicious. We shared a few desserts and they were all good. It is a bit pricey, but it is also kosher and in Manhattan, so no surprise. We will be back!
