Finally I've found it. Truly the best indian food NYC. I've been to accent, tamarind and a few others in NYC. The nan and butter chicken have a different unique taste which is my new standard to compare against. The chicken 65, and lamb kabobs were so flavorful and easily the best I've had. Then mushroom kabobs blew mind with unique texture and flavor. Best shrimp curry I've had outside of my family's recipes especially since the shrimp was fresh and tender. Mango lassi was perfect. Service was impeccable. The place is kind of small but if your focused on taste then that's what really matters. I appreciate you guys.

We ordered the chili chicken and samosa chaat appetizers, then chicken chettinad, chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani and garlic naans/parathas. Everything was delicious and our server Jobi made our experience even better! My only criticism (which has nothing to do with Jobi) is that we made our reservation online and they were seating walk-ins before us. They need a better process for keeping track of reservations and walk-ins. But all in all it was a great experience and we would definitely dine here again. Everyone’s favorite dishes were the chili chicken and the chicken chettinad!

From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, the restaurant and the staff were amazing. Our waitress was very helpful in choosing our dishes and giving us recommendations when we had trouble deciding, the food was out of this world (the Gobhi 65 and broccoli/cheddar naan was divine) and the whole atmosphere with the lighting, decor and presentation was beautiful and relaxing.

Patiala in New York is a cozy and inviting Indian restaurant that serves up traditional and vegan dishes in a contemporary setting. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Patiala, and I was particularly impressed by the garlic naan and Sarson ki sabji. The garlic naan was perfectly cooked, with a fluffy interior and a crispy exterior. The garlic flavor was subtle but present, and it perfectly complemented the other dishes on the table. The Sarson ki sabji, a mustard greens curry, was also delicious. The mustard greens were tender and flavorful, and the curry was rich and creamy. I highly recommend both of these dishes to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Indian meal. In addition to the food, I was also impressed by the service at Patiala. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. The restaurant also has a nice atmosphere, with a modern décor that is both stylish and comfortable. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Patiala. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Indian meal.

One of my favorites for Indian food in the city. No frills, but most of their dishes have authentic Indian taste and flavor. The spice mix for each dish is distinctive. Can do better with ambience and cutlery. Overall, a good experience and would recommend.

Oh wow, let me tell you about this incredible food I had! 🤩 The butter chicken and garlic naan were absolutely amazing! 🍛🥖 They were bursting with flavor and had me craving for more. The paneer tikka was pretty decent too, satisfying my taste buds. 😋 However, the daal was a little on the salty side, which was a bit disappointing. 🧂 Overall, though, it was a delightful dining experience with some hits and a slight miss. 🍽️🌟 Also, we went on a Sunday, which happened to be their busiest day. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and not as attentive as usual, probably because they were swamped with customers. It took them a few extra minutes to listen to our requests. Plus, there was a bit of a wait before we could even get into the restaurant since they were fully booked. Despite that, the food made up for the slight inconvenience! 🌟🍽️

'Anglo-Indian' menu, as a Brit in the USA I thoroughly enjoyed my Lamb Madras, it was just like a curry from a British Indian restaurant, compliments to the chef! Service was fast, friendly & efficient, ideal for a quick meal, reasonably priced for Manhattan.

Oh, oh, oh, I loved the food here! I ordered: - Lamb Madras* ($22.95, lamb chunks, comes with no rice, *spicy) - Garlic Naan ($5.95, one large fluffy piece sliced in two) - Butter Roti ($5.95, one large whole wheat piece, sliced in two) - Mango Lassi ($5.95, sweet and delicious, served in a glass) - Salted Lassi ($5.95, not so sweet, was OK, never tried before), and the - Gulab Jamun ($5.95, two hot dough balls in sweet syrup). Everything was made so well and tasted incredible. I think they used ghee, if my taste buds are keen enough, which is clarified butter (easier to eat and healthier for the body) and it tasted amazing, especially on the naan and buttered roti! The Lamb was spicy and tender. Chef's kiss 🤌 The bread was perfect. Both types. The Mango Lassi was perfect. The Salted Lassi was new to me, and was well made, but I personally didn't care for it, especially after the sweetness of the Mango flavor. The Gulab Jamun was hot, I nearly burned my tongue, but as good as any other Indian restaurant that cares about the food the serve you. Delicious. ...... The establishment was small. Only about four small 2-person tables crammed next to each other on one wall, and the same on the opposite wall. Outside the door was an enclosed patio with a similar setup. The place got cramped very quickly, but was nice to see that it was getting good business. I don't think there was a bathroom in the restaurant. It was pretty much just tables, and then the counter and register, excluding the kitchen in the back. The service was attentive (hard not to be when there were only so many tables to serve--NOT AT ALL a criticism on size, I LOVED this place), and I continuously was checked in on. *They do serve tap water, fyi, so if you're uncomfortable with New York tap, keep that in mind and bring a bottle or something. ....... Not much else to add. Their menu was slightly pricey, but you're in New York and, relatively speaking, on par with some other Indian restaurants I've tried in other cities. The place was small, but the ambience and atmosphere were intimate (but casual). Overall, as stated above, I LOVED the food here. When I'm in the area again, I will definitely be coming back. One other note on recommendation: the people next to me were, I think, a college freshman moving in to the area, being treated by his parents. They all, per some recommendations from their son, audibly loved the food as much as I. I wouldn't be surprised if they also tipped well based on food quality alone. PS--the restaurant is right around the block or so from Moynihan Train Hall, if you're coming in by train or Amtrak and want some great Indian food nearby. You can also walk to Times Square or Hudson Yards very quickly. 👍 5/5 stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
