I don’t know where to start because I love everything about this place. I never had any better burger than Emily’s burger it’s so juicy, delicious and full of flavor every bite you take😘🙌 the fries are crispy and so yummy, the pizza is so fluffy and tasty.. love the sauce of the burger and the tomato sauce of the pizza. The vibe is stunning and aesthetic. The employees are super friendly and full of great energy.
Probably the best meal we had whilst in New York - the burger comes highly recommended and with good reason, it had the right balance of flavours/ingredients and I liked the pretzel bun. The gluten free detroit style pizza was some of the best gf pizza my partner has ever had. It was a fairly reasonably priced meal for NY, although we didn't have any starters and just the one cocktail each (the spicy margarita was very spicy). The service was friendly and quick and there was a good atmosphere when we visited on a Saturday night - definitely recommend booking in advance.
I can scratch this one off the burger bucket list.
On the 1-5 scale, this was a 4.3
Very good hamburger. I'm gonna put this above JG Melon, above 5 napkin, but not quite Jackson Hole for best. burger in NYC. But I can't lie. The last bite of the burger was better than the first.
Nothing too fancy. Great medium patty, the perfect bun, and there was a lovely mushrooms sauce or something. Decent serving of fries on the side. But as I chowed down on that burger and enjoyed two delicious Greenpoint Harbor ales...I kept thinking, "damn, maybe I should have ordered the pizza."
Service was top-notch, and it was a pretty packed house. Of course, the West Village location was a tad tiny.
Overall, VERY happy to finally get to Emily's.
Not just a social media sensation but definitely a bucket list establishment when visiting NYC.
Always busy so best to get a reservation online. Awesome cocktails, Detroit style pizza and let’s not forget, the famous and perhaps best in NYC, The Emmy Burger.
This is one experience you don’t want to miss.
The place was nice and had a cozy atmosphere. We didn't have a reservation but we're seated with in 15 minutes. Drinks were tasty and bartender was quick! Had the $26 burger and it was good but it did not impress!! Overall I liked the place and would love to try something else since we heard good things but we visited from Texas so that makes it pretty unlikely.
My last visit to Emily West Village was five years ago, where I endured a three-hour wait in line. Thankfully, this time I had reservations, which made the experience much smoother. The burger I ordered was undeniably tasty, although I must mention that the first half had an overpowering black pepper flavor. Fortunately, it subsided in the latter half. The fries served alongside were incredible, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Additionally, their garlic bread was delightful, and the “make your own pizza” option proved to be quite enjoyable. However, I must admit that the service fell short of my expectations. The staff seemed distant and unenthusiastic, making us feel as if they were doing us a favor rather than providing warm hospitality. It would have been more welcoming to receive attentive service throughout the meal.
This restaurant was hyped up a little more than it actually was. We got the Emily Burger, the Hawaiian Pizza, and the Cheesy Garlic Sticks. Out of everything, the Cheesy Garlic Sticks were amazing!!! They truly hit the spot. The burger was just okay. It wasn’t the best burger I’ve had but the pretzel bun was a different and great taste to add to the typical burger. The pizza just tasted greasy and although the chili sauce added some great flavor, it just wasn’t our favorite.
Usually, when you hear a restaurant has “the best X in NYC”, it never lives up to the hype. Well, let me say, the Emmy burger absolutely lives up to its reputation. Went here for my husband’s birthday and he said it was probably the best burger he’s ever eaten. We also loved the waffle fries (they were PERFECT) and the cheesy garlic bread sticks. Cocktails were delicious too, will definitely come back to try more of the menu!
We came here to try its famous burger which has been named as the best burger in the world for several years now according to Burguerdudes. Also, we didn't want to miss the chance to try their pizza.
Regarding the burger, I can tell it's a good product, but for me, it is not the best in the world, as I have tried better ones. But it's a matter of taste...
In my opinion the pizza was better than the burger, specially thaks to the tomato sauce.
Cute place, very friendly staff. Food a little overrated imo. The pretzel bun burger was a 6/10. The day we were there for lunch, the fryer was broken so only burgers and pizza were available. Pizza with honey sounds weird but it was tasty. fun just as a one time lunch imo.
