Edit: I changed my review because Brian Zaro reached out to me and put so much effort in making it right. He refunded the missing sandwich and gave us a scrumptious goody bag. I really appreciate that. Thank you! Just paid 41+ bucks for a latte, two bottles of water and two sandwiches. Arriving at the hotel realized they only gave me one sandwich! What a rip off. I guess I’m sleeping hungry tonight then.

Great spot to grab a bakery treat in Grand Central Station while you wait for or after a train ride. Service was quick and helpful, so many yummee looking choices made it hard to choose so I asked for suggestions & got a piece of the chocolate babka. Soo thankful for the recommendation, it was absolutely scrumptious!

The black & white cookie took me completely by surprise. By far the best dessert while in nyc for me. I would have given this place five stars but the customer service was horrible. The front cashier ignored me and I had to ask to be served. She was checking me out while scrolling through her phone. Only thing worth the horrible customer service is the black & white cookie.

A convenient place to get pastries, like croissants, while waiting for your train at Grand Central Station. The service is fast and fairly friendly. Hard to judge that because everyone has their bad days. Just so long as they're not rude, which they weren't. I got 1 plain croissant, 1 almond, and 2 chocolate. They were crisp on the outside, tender and fluffy on the inside. The almond paste was just the right amount. The chocolate one was solidly good, nothing exceptional. They offered other bakery items that I did not try. Quick, convenient, and tasty.

UPDATE: SATURDAY, JULY 9, 2022, 4:41PM: First, let me stare that this time I visited the Zaro's by the Graybar Passage in Grand Central Terminal. This is not the location I usually visit. It made me happy to see all the employees wearing face coverings. Also, my first bagel order was botched up, but another employee was very professional and polite in rectifying the matter. I love this bakery! I have been coming here, virtually every time I come to Grand Central Terminal. The pastries are always fresh, the coffee is always strong, and the customer service is always high. Although I have bern to other Zaro's locations, over the years, this one has been my favorite for three years and counting. I look forward to my next visit.

I had the opposite experience from previous reviews. The workers were really fast and friendly. We got a couple of bagels and lox snd pastries before we hopped on the train and it was perfect. It was great and easy way to get a quick bite before heading out. Definitely stop when inside the Grand Central Terminal.
