The food was fantastic and the service was first rate. Had the mushroom ravioli was great and I highly recommend
Stumbled across this place while walking round Time Square - best thing we ever did! Even went back the next day it was that welcoming!
Big thanks to Al and Sean, who made us feel so welcome, and to little Jonny working the door - top, top gents.
Food amazing, staff amazing, and the Guinness is great. Met some fantastic people on our two visits to the pub, who made us brits feel so very welcome!
Thanks to all.
The food at any Playwright Tavern is always good and the service is decent. There are Irish pubs almost everywhere in the city, but we like this small chain.
Fish and Chips were pretty amazing. Great service and location.
Had the corned beef, dining partner had fish and chips. (See pictures) The corned beef lacked tenderness, but was perfectly lean. The fish and chips were fantastic: thick, crisp breading; excellent crispy coating, tender, moist interior. Attentive service, intimate, quiet ambience. Excellent.
Staff had Irish accents. The prime rib was good. The Baily's cheesecake was AMAZING.
Live music many tv's for events and the staff is attentive. Can get a little loud.
Feels slightly less touristy than the other options in this vicinity and the atmosphere is reasonably nice. Service is average, but the proscuitto pasta dish was delicious!
Came across this pub by walking down in New York exploring since this is my first time going to New York. I love the atmosphere and the life entertainment when a man was singing in the other room where people were drinking and having a good time. The food is very great the service was also great. I would definitely recommend this place when I come back to visit New York again
The prices are high, well by CA standards, but good pub food. My partner had one of the Fall specials, Cajun red snapper, and said it was exceptional. My Reuben was okay, nothing amazing, too much sauce, not enough sauerkraut and meat
Great place & staff were most welcoming because of the heat in the city we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside, we headed inside, lovely and cool, inside you see a typical long Irish bar with 4 tv screens, plenty of options of spirits and beers on tap. Waiter gave us some water whilst we pondered the menu, what we ordered was absolutely delicious and food came soon after we ordered it, once we had finished our meal, we asked for the bill, service was included, definitely be back.
As a Caesar salad fanatic, this one is in my top 5. I very much enjoyed the experience and time with my family!
Right off TimeSquare... Amazing multi-level Irish pub with good food, great atmosphere and friendly folks. They have an amazing Frank Sinatra impersonator who performs nightly on weekends...
Quick spot to grab a inexpensive drink and bite to eat near Times Square.
This is a great atmosphere pub feel. The staff welcomed our party of seven and quickly had a table. We actually had a choice of upstairs or outside. Good food choices. Drinks were good as well. Service was okay. Kept having to ask for things... Basics i.e. water, napkins, condiments, etc. Maybe just an off night for a busy place. We did have a couple of appetizers that arrived before our meal. Food was prepared quickly and served. We all enjoyed our different choices. I don't think you can go wrong depending on what you like. I would go there again when in NYC.
Food was good and super quick. Loved their Irish lager. Good place to grab a quick bite while in NYC.
Definitely a fun pub, drinks and food are good and there are sometimes tables available
Cold beer, great service. Shephards pie was wonderful
