It was a perfect vegan meal! I really recommend it! The falafel was so fresh and delicious! Nice staff and a lot of vegan options!!
Mainly Vegetarian! They have gluten free options and a small salad bar. Its a small spot and some people walk in looking for conversation lol The staff (depending on the day) is super nice and help you with your order if you can't seem to decide. The falafel is booooomb lol and if you don't want to stay inside you can walk right into the park across the street and chill.
I’m not gonna say don’t listen or pay attention to other reviews but just read this and I promise you wont regret it. This was my first job when I first moved to New York and the food their has been improving over time. Yes, i still go there to eat and have their Belgium fries (get it well done) the salad bar is really delicious and you can only fill your salad bowl or sandwich once. So, be smart on how to put things in the sandwich. Their sauces are made every morning by the chef and so is the falafel mixture. Everything is made fresh from scratch every day in the morning. Beside that, they also made great juices and since winter is upon us soon, they serve soups as well. So go there in person and order or have it delivered to your office. Enjoy their healthy meal.
Good place for a vegetarian, got a falafel with hummus and fried egg plant. Service was super friendly and they have a salad bar for your sandwiches so you can go nuts with the toppings
I love this place !!! clean and the servers were amazing 😉 not to talk of the food I got the falafel 🥙 bowl as is in the picture , the food was soo good not forgetting the sweet potatoes fries 🍟 .. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a vegetarian 🌱 food .

I absolutely love the gluten free falafel and the wonderful salad bar. Numerous options all well labeled gf or vegetarian. Wonderful place to grab a bite to eat
The food was wonderful. We saw a couple walking by with what looked like really tasty healthy food so we googled vegetarian places in the area which led us to Maoz. I ordered a falafel burger and sweet potato fries. The food was cooked exceptionally quickly and you're given a cup to fill with all kinds of toppings or to make a mini side salad. Unfortunately I forgot to wait for my fries and walked out prematurely; however, I went back and talked to the cashier who happily had the cook make a new batch for me. Great food, excellent service, and simply a wonderful stop near Union Square.
the food is great value for money.
there is a very communal atmosphere sitting together on the benches.
the salad bar allows you to go up as many times as you want.
it is kosher which is great for Jewish people!
i love falafel and this is a restaurant dedicated to one type of food!
Some of the best falafel I've had either here in NY or Israel. Sandwiches or salads and a wide variety of toppings you pick yourself. Minimal seating especially at lunch time. Eat in or take out. Mid priced but large portions.
If you love falafels....that's the place to go...it would get 5 stars if they had a wider sitting area.
I love the sweet potato fries, and their soup of the day. Also wish the ladies behind the counter would smile more😉. had the lentil soup and the white bean soup. It's beats eating bad burgers...not healthy!!😁
