Excellent tiny Falafel shop. Fresh hot falafel made all day. Middle Eastern Salad bar with all the salatim. Small seating area inside. This locations is across the street from Union Sq Park, so all the outdoor bench seating you could ever want. (Part of a small chain of restaurants with few other shops in NYC)

The food was wonderful. We saw a couple walking by with what looked like really tasty healthy food so we googled vegetarian places in the area which led us to Maoz. I ordered a falafel burger and sweet potato fries. The food was cooked exceptionally quickly and you're given a cup to fill with all kinds of toppings or to make a mini side salad. Unfortunately I forgot to wait for my fries and walked out prematurely; however, I went back and talked to the cashier who happily had the cook make a new batch for me. Great food, excellent service, and simply a wonderful stop near Union Square.

If you love falafels....that's the place to go...it would get 5 stars if they had a wider sitting area. I love the sweet potato fries, and their soup of the day. Also wish the ladies behind the counter would smile more😉. had the lentil soup and the white bean soup. It's beats eating bad burgers...not healthy!!😁

I’m not gonna say don’t listen or pay attention to other reviews but just read this and I promise you wont regret it. This was my first job when I first moved to New York and the food their has been improving over time. Yes, i still go there to eat and have their Belgium fries (get it well done) the salad bar is really delicious and you can only fill your salad bowl or sandwich once. So, be smart on how to put things in the sandwich. Their sauces are made every morning by the chef and so is the falafel mixture. Everything is made fresh from scratch every day in the morning. Beside that, they also made great juices and since winter is upon us soon, they serve soups as well. So go there in person and order or have it delivered to your office. Enjoy their healthy meal.

Some of the best falafel I've had either here in NY or Israel. Sandwiches or salads and a wide variety of toppings you pick yourself. Minimal seating especially at lunch time. Eat in or take out. Mid priced but large portions.

One of my most craved places since I relocated from NYC. Union square is one of my most enjoyed places to relax when I lived in NYC and Maoz made it so much better. I love everything they have to offer. Still trying to learn the recipe for their coleslaw Lol. Whenever I am downstate I try to visit. But you can always provide Albany, NY with a location.

Mainly Vegetarian! They have gluten free options and a small salad bar. Its a small spot and some people walk in looking for conversation lol The staff (depending on the day) is super nice and help you with your order if you can't seem to decide. The falafel is booooomb lol and if you don't want to stay inside you can walk right into the park across the street and chill.
