WOW!!! I'm in awe....Chef Benny and his team did an AMAZING job and I'm beyond happy. This is my first Google review that I've written. I reached out to City Cakes and Chef Benny to make a cake to celebrate my brand's birthday, and he responded to me within a day. I told him what I wanted (which was difficult for other bakeries in NYC that I reached out to); however, it wasn't a challenge for Chef Benny. The cake was huge (but still affordable to me) and it looked EXACTLY like my packaging! Also, sometimes cakes like these taste horrible, but the cake itself tasted really good as well. I will definitely be telling my entrepreneurial friends about City Cakes!

Started off very disappointed with this place, I decided to give it another go, and i am happy to say the second time was most definitely the charm! From the jump, the cashier was such an angel and the other staff were just as welcoming. The space itself was a complete dream, and felt straight of a movie! They offered such a wide variety of cakes, and cookies that if you have a sweet tooth you are guaranteed to leave smiling. This time i went i ended up getting the red velvet and funtetti cake slices. Man oh man were they delicious! I almost had the whole thing!! The red velvet cake had such a complex, yet simply delightful flavor it almost explodes on your taste buds! The frosting complimented the cake beautifully and overall i would rate this slice a solid 10/10 The funtetti cake felt like an homage to 5 year old me! This cake truly took me on a nostalgic walk back to my childhood and was everything i hoped it would be. It was moist, dense, decadent, and perfectly sweet. This also gets a 10/10 in my book! Overall i rate this place a 10/10. This i can tell will become my go to spot for when i need a sweet picker upper. I am happy i gave city cakes another go. Keep up the good work guys!

City cakes was a great find on Easter Sunday. Just perfect to quench my thirst for new sweets. The interior design of the strawberry cheesecake begs your tase buds to satisfy your curiosity. The chocolate mousse was filled with a deltiable filling. The slices of the cakes are double for just $9. City Cakes is a tastebud delight!!

From old to new! A friend and I were eating near the original location and decided to go to the new location. Those chocolate chip cookies were so delish. The salted caramel cupcake was good, a little on the sweet side but I’m good with sweets. The ambiance of the location is spectacular, love all the cakes & you can stand & watch bakers decorate while you wait.

This place is a fantastic bakery! 🎂 City Cakes offers a phenomenal selection of cookies 🍪, cakes 🍰, and cupcakes🧁- all look absolutely delicious! 🤤 Definitely try the 1/2 LB Cookie (went for the Dark Horse Salted Double Chocolate 🍫 Chip Half Pound Cookie)! Staff 👨‍🍳 is super friendly and welcoming, and service is quick! The store is also beautifully decorated! ✨I wish I knew about this place earlier!

This place is one of the best I saw so far when it comes to bakery/cake making.Frankie and Deandra were so helpful and professional! They answer all our questions and care for our need even though they were closing. They made us feel special and help up a lot for our future order. They can make custom cake that looks exactly like you. After checking out for our order we found out that the owner is the owner is a judge on a cake show on Disney channel.No wonder why they make so much good stuff. We will be definitely be coming back.

Wow I am so glad I found this place! They are incredible!!!! Their work is truly amazing, the flavors of the cake were delicious and they took my last minute order 1.5 weeks out from our party. I ordered a three layer custom cake with peanut butter and chocolate flavors. Very dense and rich. If you’re looking for an ARTIST to design your cake and have it taste delicious simultaneously, I highly recommend!!

*second visit: I went back to try out their cake but this time was a little bit disappointed.. I got a St. Patrick special flavor. The flavor was good but the cream was really toooo stiff, not cream, and too sweet. The cake was not dry but it collapsed as you dig in, not soft like sponge. I’ll say go with cookies or cupcake so that it wins not that overwhelming. Overall I gave 4 for the items but 5 eventually since the staff was friendly and the space was welcoming. I didn’t have a high expectation since American style treats are usually too sweet for me. But they did a great job, didn’t go too far! Didn’t get a slice of cake since it was tooo large. But I like their 🧁whiskey pecan cupcake a lot! The cream cheese frosting was at the right texture (not too stiff but creamy) and help moist the cake part. The cake was a liiiittle bit dry but was balanced by the gooey pecan filling and the frosting. I also got their classic 🍪“adult” chocolate chip cookie as their staff recommended. It was yes, classic. I like it better without heating warm. Otherwise it lose the chewy texture. I might wanna try another flavor that is more creative next time.
