This place is excellent. My friend and I were looking for a spot to grab some dinner on our way back to our car park, and we stumbled across Izakaya NoMad. We got in quick. No wait for a table, even with the place booming with business. An extra treat was where we sat. The bar has a view in front of the skewer grill, so we were staring in awe of the delicious selections they offered while perusing the menu. The beer and sake selection is humongous, as are the sushi rolls. The food itself is absolutely delicious. The mochi wrapped in bacon is insane. Staff is very accommodating and polite, Scott the manager went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with everything. This is my new staple restaurant for Japanese food, and I WILL be frequenting Izakaya NoMad quite a lot in the future.

I came here for my birthday and immediately fell in love with the rustic yet modern environment. I definitely recommend the Godzilla roll and skewered pork belly. The roll was fresh and filled with flavor in every bite. As for the pork belly, it was moist and cooked to perfection. If you want good Japanese food with a fun atmosphere then this is the place to go. Oh and you can never forget the saki bombs!

Wonderful time! We’re very appreciated for the service here. The food was good and nice saga. We’re very hungry from working all daylong. We enjoy and take it easy here, no big and heavy food today. We going to have a wonderful ice cream next door. Come in and try it out.

I'd rate this spot 4 out of 5 stars. It's a comfortable izakaya featuring delightful cocktails. The dishes we tried were satisfying, though not exceptionally remarkable. While I've only visited once, it appears to be a dependable choice for post-work gatherings.

This place hit the spot. I highly recommend just sharing skewers and ordering as much a possible. I think the best was between the oyster mushrooms (they taste better than the beef) and enoki wrapped in bacon. Chicken skin was super crispy. Beef tongue was thinly sliced with a lot of flavor. The oden hot pot was also extremely umami heavy with the shrimp stock and different fish cakes. I felt this happy fullness that only comes from clean Japanese cooking.

Incredible experience. A reliable local go-to place for an easy dinner or group event, this restaurant never disappoints. Service is excellent and the food is amazing. Six of us shared several rolls and the vegetable tempura, plus a couple of plates of the Sushi Nomad, and it was just a fun experience.

One of my top go-to recommendations for delicious drinks and food in the city! I love their drinks especially their sake selection and cocktails (can’t beat $13 HH cocktails)! My must orders are the tako wasabi, any of their raw sashimi dishes, and the chicken thigh and scallion yakitori. The raw seafood always taste so fresh and their seasoned seafood dish has this subtle citrus flavor that never fails to incite a “yum.” Definitely visit if you’re looking for a place to drink and eat with good vibes and friendly service.

This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in NYC. The food is incredible and it a perfect date restaurant. There's low lighting paired with a unique interior decor to create a one of a kind dining experience. The service can be a shabby sometimes depending if you are sitting inside or outside but be sure to make a reservation for inside. Overall it's a very impressive place.

Cozy izakaya spot! Wing skewer was really unique and worth a try. Rice balls were tasty too. Can’t go wrong here! Generous beer happy hour during the week

Tebasaki is a must. Squid was tasty. Sashimi and maki were top notch. Great service. Would go again next time we’re in NYC.

Truly the best izakaya in the city. I always try something new. Nothing ever disappoints. Great friendly staff/ incredibly prepared food. if you need a recommendation, the grilled teriyaki calamari, Kakuni(braised pork)is the best way to go. I highly recommend this restaurant.
