Gmt Tavern

My husband and I stopped here before a show to eat dinner. We were seated promptly. The staff were friendly off the cuff. I ordered the most delicious buttermilk chicken sandwich that came with shoe lace fries. My husband ordered their house burger and a couple beers. Everything was excellent including the service. Thank you GMT for a great place and awesome vibes. My only recommendation would be some attention to updating or sprucing up the bathrooms.

Cozy tavern vibe inside with high ceilings and warm lighting. The bartender, Balthasar, was really nice and took care of everything. The fish and chips were pretty good. Had to send the fries back though because they were way over fried. The homemade tartar sauce was excellent. Nice beer selection on tap, and I always appreciate the dedicated glasses for specific beers.

The outside setting at GMT was very well organized and situated in a way that will bring comfort to any individual that dines here. Maybe it was the little candle on every table that seem to glisten and cast a glow, making it a great back drop for a romantic movie. I ordered a Stella, which came in a nice tall sexy glass. It made me want to take a sip and savor the flavor and drink my beer slowly. It wasn’t a Wine but it could have been. The glass makes it a great imposter. I ordered a medium rare Hawaiian burger and fries. It came with a sliced pine apple on top. It was picture perfect. I honestly had to take pictures before sinking my teeth into that juicy burger. The side of fries was just an added touch of a reminder that GMT might be fancy but can give service like the classy Tavern it is. They also follow the Social Distancing Guidelines set by the CDC. Giving 6 feet of social distancing space for everyone to enjoy themselves. The waitstaff was great,attentive and serviced my every need. They did not skip a beat. I will definitely becoming back with friends to wine and dine here. If you happened to be in the Village. You must stop here before you go anywhere else. You will leave with a smile on your face.
