I love me some casual dining chain restaurants. This one was absolutely surprising. I felt like some Shrimp and in the middle of Time’s Square Bubba Gump showed up.
The only issue was when I arrived I wasn’t sure where the Host was to seat me, but they quickly showed up and everything else went great. I ordered a beverage and a classic appetizer that came out perfectly.
The shrimp was so succulent. The Salmon was good, but not great. It really didn’t have a great taste and the sauce could be a bit stronger. However, I still rate this is a 5 star if you want to have a good nourishing meal with a fun atmosphere.
This restaurant was on our bucket list for long time. Supringly restaurant is very spacious and can offer views of time square area. It has very charming decor and as expected food has more seafood options. Portion sizes for entree are sufficient per person.
We tried mahi-mahi platter and salmon platter. Personally mahi-mahi was more saucy and we liked it. Definitely try strawberry shortcake and caramel pecan butter cake at the end.
After the food, we had trivia about the movie. So be prepared for it 😜
Overall good experience and worth re-visiting
Bubba Gump restaurants are consistently clean, delicious and well-decorated. This location is no exception! We liked being able to view Times Square from a quiet booth, which is a welcome respite from the chaos outside. Our waiter, Emanuel, even did some fun movie trivia with us and offered to take our photo. Good vibes overall.
Our server, Emanuel was great! We got the sampler platter, calamari and gumbo. The shrimp was amazing, the spinach dip was good and the chicken fingers were good. The gumbo was yummy... definitely a do-over. The calamari... It was okay but I wouldn't order it again.
My mom and I come here every year for our December vacation. My mom looks forward to getting the shrimp. We have Bubba Gumps where we live, but it's a different kind of experience being able to eat and see the beautiful view of Times Square!
Service is always great, and food always hits.
It's a really funny place, I didn't know they created a Bubba Gump co that was featured in the Forest Gump movie. There are so many posters and references to the movie. On top of that, the food was really amazing, and the staff was really helpful. It is located at the Time Square, so you have a new view. I recommend booking it a bit ahead of time (2h is enough) as it can get busy.
Bubba Gump in Times Square isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an adventure into the heart of seafood excellence, infused with a touch of cinematic charm. The vibrant, movie-themed décor creates an atmosphere that’s both fun and inviting, making it a standout in the bustling vibe of Times Square.
I loved the food here! It was so good. I also enjoyed the memorabilia from the Forrest Gump movie. There is even a bench with a fake suitcase and candy box that you can pictures of your friends or loved ones. There are gatherings available to customers and a gift shop on the first floor.
Ordered Shrimper’s Heaven, Bang Bang Shrimp and Shrimper’s Net Catch. The serving size was pretty good and the taste impeccable. The sauces that came with the dishes were delicious and they were happy to refill it once we ran out of it. This is one of the best and most iconic restaurants for seafood lovers. The waiters were unbelievably nice to us and checked on us repeatedly without being too intrusive. Although, we didn’t make a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table, it is highly recommended that have some buffer as there is always a wait time.
This place never disappoints at all. Had a self care day after going to see a musical. Smh I was being greedy but it was well deserved lol. I had the lobster and crab rolls and then I had the shrimp with I believe crab sauce seemed rice and garlic bread. Only thing my drink sucked big time and trust me not a lick of alcohol in it but I was able to keep my cup
