Frankie & Johnnie's Steakhouse

The entire staff was warm and friendly. We were running a bit late, and they were accommodating. We were seated as soon as we got there. Sal, our server was friendly and nice. I had the garlic mashed potatoes and the salmon. Both were quite delectable. I will definitely go back and recommend it to others.

Great food, fantastic options if you mention to the servers that you do vegan/plant based. The only thing that seemed a bit off was the acoustic. We were in a larger group/private event upstairs and it was hard to talk and hear others as the room does not absorb sound very well. Amazing place, though! Thank you for having us!

Absolutely loved this place, you might think it's expensive but you get exactly what you pay for, never had a Porterhouse before and I doubt I'll ever have another as tasty as this was. I wish I knew the name of the guy keeping an eye on everything as he was brilliant, everyone was, it was the only time I felt really happy leaving the "suggested tip"...if I ever go to New York again we will be heading here 1st night....and the New York Cheesecake 😍

I give 4 stars only because the hostess was a bit rude. Gave a call earlier stating we'd be running late, she said no problem. As we entered, we were greeted with rudness. Eye rolling at customers isn't a good look (the restaurant wasn't even packed, 5 tables max) and for a nice place, you'd expect the hostess do be a bit more business casual rather than jeans with a tied tshirt in the back and sneakers, and a messy bun like she just woke up. Im not hating, but for steakhouses such as this, you want to be at least presentable, it doesn't matter if you are slow or over booked in business. Other than that, wonderful service from both servers, and the food was great. If they keep the seafood combo special throughout the year I'd come by every day just to have that!! It was delicious especially the crab cake with a hashbrown like crunch to it! Omg!! Thats how good it was.

This was the most exciting and pleasurable meal we shared with my adult children. They finally got to experience proper service at a high-end restaurant in NYC, my hometown. We don't get service and food like this in Central Ohio. They all were enthralled about everything this restaurant has to offer. Plus being served a delightful meal in John Barrymores house.

It's a decent steak house without the ridiculous wait time / reservation compared to other places. Appetizers are prepped slightly differently compared to other steakhouse, and they are good. Steaks are simple dry aged, high seared, and no butter. Place has a comfortable / warm classic steakhouse feel.

When in New York City on 37th street, Frankie and Johnnie's is a Great place for steak but I had the chicken Parm and it was delicious too! We had multiple appetizers and they are large and sharable. Servers were great. We sat upstairs. The lamb chops looked great! Try the bacon appetizer. You will not be disappointed! They serve alcohol too!
