My family of four ate at Sparks steakhouse and we loved it! Our server Josip was outstanding. We had lots of questions about the steaks and the aging process and he was very knowledgeable, and very attentive. The food was great, and also good portions so you get what you’re paying for. We will most definitely be back.

The place is THE Classic New York Steakhouse experience. I have visited Gallagher's, Keen's, Old Homestead, and Smith & Wollensky and Sparks tops them all. The steaks have the perfect char and seasoning, and are cooked to the exact correct temp every time. I always ask for Robert as my server and know that he's off Sundays and Mondays. Great service every time. Caesar at the door is a true professional and Robert expertly guides me through the extensive menu. This is THE must stop for any steakhouse aficionado when visiting Manhattan and I highly, highly, highly recommend.

I returned here after nearly fifteen years as I took my granddaughter and her mother to Radio City for the Christmas Show and I wanted a noce dinner afterward. Surprisingly, the place wasn't crowded and we got a nice table. The attentive service was just as I remembered it, which is to say excellent. The steaks were perfectly cooked and terrific, and the desserts were sublime. All in all, this place remains the "top of the hill" for great dining.

I had made a reservation here several years ago not knowing they were on strike and when I showed up there was a union line to cross. I’m a union girl so I said ok I definitely have to come back here when the strike is settled. So many steakhouses so little time…
I’m obsessed with the decor. It reminds me of when I was a kid and going out to eat was an exciting experience. I truly miss when restaurants used to look like that.
I don’t have much to say about the service. It was neither impressive nor upsetting 🤷🏼♀️
I wasn’t wild about the bread but I was glad because who wants to waste valuable stomach space on bread.
We had the buffalo mozzarella appetizer. The extra thick veal chop was perfectly seasoned, seared, and crusted and perfectly raw inside. Most places cannot achieve this. The creamed spinach also had a perfect balance and was not soupy or overly creamy. The mushrooms were underwhelming. My husband had his usual…filet/mash. I loathe mashed potatoes but they truly looked beautiful and silky. For dessert I was torn between the default chocolate truffle and the mixed berries Romanoff. I was glad they were out of the truffle because the Romanoff was wonderful.

Great food and atmosphere! Some waiters are not friendly ! Steaks are amazing-tried fillet mignon and veal chop, desert menu is very good!

This is what a high end steakhouse is supposed to be. Excellent service, and the food was awesome. Steak was so juicy and tender. Just enough char on the outside for flavor but not so much you didn't taste the meat. This place met all of our expectations.

We went to Sparks a few months back…we had an absolute terrific evening. Our waiter and the entire waitstaff were outstanding, extremely professional and you could tell that they enjoyed working together…the restaurant oozes history and tradition. The food was excellent, I was very happy I took our waiters advice on the Sirloin which, you are best to do when in an establishment like Sparks.
I’d give Sparks a 10 if I could. We will definitely be going here the time we are in the city.

Truly old school in terms of service and atmosphere. You feel Ike you have stepped back in time back in 1985 when Castalano was killed on his way out….food-spot on!

We have been to Sparks a couple of times for dinner and once lunch over the years. This is one of the must visit, historical, steakhouses in NYC. The wine list is out of this world, maybe the best I've ever seen, especially the half bottle list, which is beyond amazing. The food and service have always been solid on every occasion. Love this place!

For many years, we would celebrate special occasions at Sparks Steak House.
It has been a very long time since our last visit.
If felt like reuniting with an old friend.
It was an absolutely exceptional experience from start to finish.
We will not let so much time go by!
