As I sat outside enjoying my latte and occasionally vaping, a fellow patron who appeared to be quite agitated approached me. The individual's behavior quickly escalated into a heated exchange as he vocally expressed his displeasure regarding the vapor. The situation took an uncomfortable turn when his comments seemed to take a concerning tone. I'm normally unalarmed at people but this man seems as though he had the obligation of screaming at a complete stranger. In response, I took out my phone to record the incident, and it was at this point that the individual seemed to reconsider his approach. His demeanor shifted, and he eventually walked away. I was taken aback by the encounter and found myself disappointed that such an incident could occur in a public space. Despite this unsettling incident, the latte experience at Lucid Cafe remained a standout memory. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in the preparation of their beverages is certainly commendable and sets them apart in the coffee scene. Such a sweet small and cozy coffeeshop to grab and go near gran central. Indoor seating is not available but there are two small chairs outside . I had the Vermont maple latte with oat milk and loved it. They had some gf and vegan pastries but I didn’t get the chance to try them. Definitely will come back.
