City Sandwich

Best sandwich place ever!! My fav is the Sophia which only comes out in the summer. But the Victoria is my second fav! Yum!! Update June 2020: The last few times I’ve gone there in the last years way before quarantine, sandwiches were dry and the place has lost its appeal environment wise. Maybe business is low. Food lost its quality too. Seems like bread is old and ingredients too. Taste is ok. Too bad really. I really liked this place.

Came here twice to pickup sandwiches for lunch. I got Lisa the first time, the sandwich was tasty, avocado tasted fresh, I couldn't really taste the difference between free range 🐔. Got Roberto the second time, ingredients tasted fresh and I really like the 🍞. I wish the portion size were a bit bigger. I would come back if I have a few extra dollars in my pocket.

While City Sandwich may not boast an overly decorative facade, or interior, their food simply speaks for itself. I happened upon City Sandwich one day, while on a walk to meet a friend. I hadn't yet eaten, and this place, though simple looking, seemed rather inviting. Many places in the Hell's Kitchen district are tight quartered, and this place was no different. They have a simple, yet fresh list of ingredients they use to prepare all their menu items, as well as a wide selection of bottled teas to drink. The bread and sauces are also homemade, which only adds to the awesomeness that is using all fresh ingredients.

Stopped in on the way out of the city after an exhausting two days. My fiancée had twisted her ankle and we couldn't walk any further without a break when we stopped in here- it was the best experience of our trip. The waitress who took our order (sadly, at the time of this review I don't recall her name) was incredibly friendly and helpful, and really made the experience. Sandwichs were delicious and filling. Food was great- but it's the service and atmosphere that gives it the fifth star.

I got the LGBT per the request of the person working and it was amazing! The bread was fresh with a crunchy crust and soft filling. The sandwich was incredibly flavorful. Additionally, the employees are so friendly and energetic! I highly recommend trying this place out! This is my favourite sandwich place in the city!

I've loved City Sandwich since it opened. Sandwiches are great, made with delicious combinations of high-quality ingredients. The salads are also delish. The owner and staff are always so sweet - which makes me wonder why the one reviewer had such horrible, implausible things to say about the hygiene of the place and the demeanor of the owner??!! I bring all my friends and work colleagues there - and then they always want to go back. I think that says a lot.

City sandwich is my favourite sandwich place in NYC. I find the quality of their bake (breads) to be unlike any I have come across in the city. I'm a frequent customer and have been since the last 2 years. Their staff are very friendly and I've spoken to the owner a couple of times. I get the strong impression of a family-run establishment. @Mickey - can't agree with that comment at all. Maybe you've posted your comment against the wrong business?
