We came in about 30 minutes before close in November. We were the only people in the restaurant and felt awful so we sat at the bar and the bartender was still so nice. We had 4 days in NYC, ate at a plethora of different restaurants and this was by far the best meal we had that whole time. We still talk about it to this day. My husband had the meatball sandwich and I had the build your own with meatballs, meat sauce and polenta. We will definitely make time to eat here every trip to NY from now on! Pic is of my dish after I started eating and realized how amazing it was.. sorry for the mess!)

New menu is amazing! They’re so great with dietary restrictions, and I couldn’t recommend them more. Great for takeout, too!

Expensive, but worth every penny. I got the spaghetti and meatballs, not too much spaghetti but I never knew I needed meatballs with pesto sauce in my life. Filled me up real good, server was amazing and the atmosphere was pretty chill. 10/10 recommend checking it out. Menu was diverse but not overbearing, exactly how I like it

ThiS place was amazing !!! I had their Parmesan classic meatball. you can order it with a side in case you want to eat more than just four meatballs.... but if you don’t.... then it comes with bread. Other flavors are available ! There’s just so much good stuff here!

Great atmosphere very friendly and laid back staff. Love the tailored menu and the side options. Additional plus that they source locally.

This is a really good place. It's a good place to walk into because you want to see a menu and then a guy walks up to you and asks you if you've been here before and of course you haven't been there because you're confused and the menu is your only salvation from that confusion. It's a good place for the guy to say "well you gotta try it at least once" and so you want to believe him, because who would lie about meatballs? That's just silly. It's a good place for your friend to order a beer and a meatball hero and for you to order a chicken "smash" sandwich, which is on a brioche bun, and ask for it with parmesan cream sauce and mozzarella cheese. The prices are what you'd expect in the city. Nothing outrageous, but not the best deal. And it's ESPECIALLY a good place to tell stories and laugh and smile and catch up. I made memories at The Meatball Shop. They made meatballs. Shout out to my boy Matty K. And the employee who told us we had to try The Meatball Shop at least once. He was right.

The meatball shop in Chelsea. If you love the meatballs this is the place to go. The service was quick and easy. The menu is very practical, easy breezy. They have different ways to eat the meatballs. You choose your own plate. I had the chicken meatballs in a sandwich was very good. Loved the bun from the sandwiches. Our waitress was very lovely, the customer service was excellent. The bartender was very professional and friendly, make me a Mr. Tangerine, was delicious, great presentation I recommend this drink. We had a lovely time at The Meatballs Shop in Chelsea.

The staff at meatball shop is always so welcoming and entertaining! They recently upgraded their menu and rolled it out at this location; so happy we got to try it! The mozzarella, tomato and basil risotto was creamy, delicious and flavorful!! I will definitely order it again in the future. I’m not super adventurous and always order the naked chicken meatballs with pesto and they are always spot on - never a disappointment!! If you love pesto you’ll love this combination too!
