Quite possibly the best burger I have ever had: smoky flavor, very juicy, and with a bun that was literally oven-fresh. The wood-burning oven in which nearly all the food cooks must have some kind of magic. Even the smell of the restaurant when you walk in is wonderful, and I got hungry just standing in the entrance. Also had a brussels sprout salad and chicken liver pate, both of which were excellent. Friendly, attentive staff and relaxing atmosphere. Surprisingly affordable, given the quality of the food. I will be returning to try EVERYTHING on the menu.
Lovely staff, really great. We were late, we called, they got us in and out in time for our show without feeling rushed or like a problem. Everything was delicious, don't skip the bread and outrageous butter. Drinks and wine were yummy. Mussels and ribs were terrific. The special was the best.
Always a fabulous experience. ⭐️ The staff is super pleasant and the food, which all comes from the brick oven, is out of this world. The pizza is always a dream come true and the buratta is an amazing leveled-up breadstick app. True gem in Hell's Kitchen and always going back for more. The drinks are good to the last drop, highly recommend the pear inspired cocktail. 🍸
I ordered a BBQ ribs to go on lunch at 11:30am, thanks for opening at such an early time, giving me opportunity to try this dish. The girl is very patient and friendly.
$17 per order and contains 5 ribs, taste good and tender. Price is fair enough. If I have chance, definitely will come back and try more dishes on dinner time or brunch time.
If you want an exceptional meal that is prepared with the values and principles of sustainability, then this is a must when you are in NYC. I have taken a couple of groups here over the last couple of years and it is always a highlight of our time together. Charlie, the chef, is super conscientious about the ingredients and impact he and his restaurant have on our future and you can sense that with every bite you take. Everything I have tasted here is off the charts with flavor. Appetizers we’ve had include: Farmer’s Market Salad, Wood OVen Mac & Cheese with Bacon and Baby Back Ribs. For our main courses we have tried all sorts of pizzas including: Three Meat, Margherita, Mushroom & Homemade Pork Sausage, Vegan, Summer Peach and Farmer’s Market. The dessert we chose - the Chilled Chocolate Fudge with local Bee Pollen and Honey Comb with Vanilla Gelato was outrageous. There are a lot of choices in NYC, but this will be my go to place to wow people I dine with. If 6 stars were an option, The Marshal would be more than worthy!
We had a light dinner at The Marshal on Friday, December 22. It was fabulous. The dishes were inventive and exceptional. The kale salad, deviled eggs, and baby back ribs were especially memorable. The staff is outstanding, and they and Charlie, the chef and owner, gave everything a very personal touch. The Marshall is one of our absolute favorite places to eat in New York City.
Chef Charlie Marshal's wine pairing dinners were superb! The ambiance of the space is lovely, the food was delicious as always, but having a different wine paired with each course, and having that wine explained by a representative from that wine company made the evening unique and informative. We went to two different evenings and I highly recommend it!
We had truffle pizza and cauliflower side. Pizza was good but cauliflower lacked seasoning. Harissa could not be tasted at all. I would suggest sticking to other known appetizers and sides. Service was excellent.
Had a wonderful lunch today! Staff was welcoming and professional, including Charlie, the owner.
Enjoyed a Rose cider, a hard cider, and a margaritas pizza and Farmer's pizza. Both were delicious and wonderfully served.
Lovely interior as well!
Will definitely make this a "go to place" every time we visit NYC.
I highly recommend The Marshall!
A very pleasant surprise. Went in with no expectations but ended up very happy with the choice for the evening. Some non-typical menu options turned out to be really flavorful (e.g. duck breast pizza, kale salad). The service was spot on - attentive yet not intrusive and unlike too many places in NYC, the music was toned down just adding to the nice ambiance of the place. Recommended for a casual family dinner.
Everything we ordered was delicious. The one that stood out the most was the deviled eggs, which everyone at the table agreed. It had so many layers of flavor accentuated perfectly with the pesto and carrot chip. Also a clever detail of clipping off the bottom of the egg to make them all stand up perfectly. Of the pizzas, we enjoyed the fig and blue cheese the most, followed by the delicata squash. We will definitely be back!
Great spot for brunch or dinner before a show since it is a quick 10 min walk to most of Broadway. The vegetarian breakfast pizza was very good. They have indoor and outdoor seating but the outdoor seating is jam-packed in very tightly. I'd say the vibe inside is better.
