This was a real gem to find. Located in trendy Greenwich Village this was an absolute delight for me as someone with celiac disease. The food quality was good if a little ‘like mama used to make’ and even the gluten free bread was good which makes a change from the usual cardboard versions I’m used to. This place is 100% gluten free making it the perfect place to avoid cross contamination. As with all specialist dining, particularly in upmarket Greenwich, this isn’t the cheapest restaurant but as a treat for an excellent gluten free meal this is hard to beat.
I'll start by saying we were served GF bread in a basket from the beginning- delicious and you know if they include that lovely moment, then the rest of the meal is going to be a win. I can't say enough great things about this place, food, service, ambience is over the top! Be sure to make reservations! Glad we did, small quaint place and fills up fast. We will always have a meal here when visiting the city. Staff is well versed on GF, and they have GF deserts!

Senza Gluten is one of the only completely gluten-free Italian restaurants in New York City’s Greenwich Village offering an extensive menu that is not only delicious but safe for those intolerant to gluten. I have quite a few dietary restrictions, and so does my partner. Both riddled with autoimmune diseases— and finding a safe place to hunker down for the night and enjoy a comfortable meal and atmosphere can be quite a big ask.
Not at Senza Gluten!
We went on our first date in the city here. A very beautiful selection it was. I’m from California and him from New York. A few weeks before my trip I found Senza online while trying to think of relevant sights to see. The menu looked too good to believe. We went on my last night in before I left New York the next day. There was a heavy rain shower in the evening as we were in the village. Lots of reservations cancelled due to the weather and I remembered we were very close by to Senza. I called to check availability and it was no issue at all seeing us in!!
It was a very special and intimate selection for such a momentous event. We talk of this restaurant constantly, 3 months later, and have plans to come back for Valentine’s Day and any other chance possible. The atmosphere was exquisite. The food unbeatable. Service absolutely lovely. 10/10 I hope you guys never leave.

We had the best Gluten Free Food ever! Lenny was our server and he did an amazing job with the food suggestions, explanation and accommodations. Any one with Celiac or Gluten Intolerance will be able to have a feast here. Great service, food and atmosphere. Definitely will come back. Desert was so good that we forgot to take photos
Senza Gluten is, by far, the best restaurant - gluten free or not - my family and I have ever eaten at. Their arancini, gnocchi, lasagna, and lamb chops were superb. Perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. We savored every bite. Their Italian coffee, tiramisu, and cannoli were also fantastic. Our server, Aral, and our hostess also treated us like we were the guests of honor. We look forward to visiting again the next time we visit New York City.
Everything is completely gluten free, which is a dream come true. I have celiacs and I was so happy to be able to eat whatever I wanted from this restaurant. It was phenomenal.
I am a chef and owner of a farm to table cafe’ in Arkansas. The food was heaven and to be gluten free Italian is very rare. The owner is a sweet petite Italian lady who reads room and makes her guest feel welcomed and appreciated. My visit and meal were excellent. Highly recommend.
Great food and kind staff. Wanted to try this spot for awhile and now will come back every time I’m in NYC. I got the steak sandwich came with salad and fries. Delicious. They also give you bread and oil too. Side note they only take Amex and cash but they do have an atm machine on site.
The food was wonderful and the service was amazing! Gluten safe restaurant with a good selection. We had the chicken noodle soup, lasagna, bread basket, and tiramisu.
When me and my fiancé first went here 6 months ago, it was a Saturday. They were very busy and we didn’t have a reservation. Lenny was kind enough to squeeze us in. Fast forward 6 months later for our 1 year anniversary, we made a reservation and had the great pleasure of having Lenny as our waiter again. The food & drinks here are nothing short of spectacular. My fiancés strawberry margarita was made with fresh strawberries, and truly a delightful cocktail. Lenny’s service and hospitality went above and beyond, just as it did 6 months ago.
The best ever Italian restaurant in New York! Sorry for not so good pictures I couldn’t resist to try it. The taste is unbelievable, the atmosphere is charming the staff is super friendly. They happily assisted me in choosing the most perfect dishes and the owner herself came by to check if everything was okay. This was one of the best dining experience in NYC so far.
