Took my wife for her birthday. It was her first birthday after our marriage so wanted to find somewhere special with great ambience. Reserved ahead of time to get the limited chef's table where you'll be seated close enough to see the chefs in action. As soon as we walked in, already enjoyed the atmosphere and the setup of the restaurant. It was a mix of fancy but also modern casual, loved it. Chef at this time was Paul Liebrandt. We both ordered the tasting menu, a bit pricey but worth the experience! After recommendation, my wife ordered the $24 cocktail called "The Marathon, nitro frozen drink". Loved it as we were invited over to the bar to see the making of the drink. I believe the drink is made using some sort of dry ice, pretty cool. Started off with Crab Doughnuts, very tasty. She then got her Kampachi, which I thought was coming out grilles but was actually sashimi. She absolutely loved it, only downside was that there was only 3 pieces haha. Also came out with some sort of soup with Caviar. I'm not a sea food person so I didn't like it but she loved it. I took the veal and hmm...I'm sure it's great, just not my style. Next, she got the Beautiful Cardinal Prawn, also 3 of them, very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, delicious. I had the Sakura Pork and stuffed squid. Both were amazing, loved it. Dessert was the Avocado souffle and the Delice of Grand Gru Chocolate. All very interesting but tasty. Seemed like this Chef has his own mix and match with food because everything we had was different, interesting, and so so unique. Would recommend, make sure you check who's the chef that's there!

I had the unique pleasure of attending the New York City Wine & Food Festival with my wife and daughter on October 12th. Eat, drink and end hunger were the key ingredients and main theme. The service, food and presentation were outstanding and the evening was totally awesome. Tables of 10 were set throughout the facity and all the guests were foodies just like me and my family. The food courses, paired with the appropriate wines, were fabulous and so unique. I look forward to attending next year in support of "ending hunger" and enjoying a wonderful evening. Part of the proceeds were donated to ending hunger. The chefs were amazing and personable. We had occasion to personally meet them and take photos with them. Their food offerings were more than anyone can imagine and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Chef's Club is very innovative by rotating its chef every few months. We were lucky to experience the testing menu of Fat Rice NYC. It was really delicious! The sausage and rice were incredible!

My experience at Chefs Club was phenomenal. I LOVED the decor, open kitchen, the bartenders were great too. But the food (Fat Rice) was OUTSTANDING. We had the chips, pork shoulder, beef dish, noodles and the Portuguese cheese. The cheese was absolutely out of this world, so was the chips and noodles. We enjoyed the main dishes as well.. but we definitely ordered a lot! Awesome atmosphere and service (Anthony was an awesome bartender and so attentive) I love the concept of other restaurant residencies and will most likely be back, likely sooner than later, as I need to experience that cheese again!

Excellent food, wonderful setting. The executive chef rotates out every few months, must check in advance.

Amazing experience with Sota Atsumi menu! Everything was perfect, especially the Pithiviers and the lobster sausage. Great service too thanks to our waiter, Aurelien! Definitely recommend this place!!

Obviously, the specifics of the food and cocktails depend on who is the chef in residence at the time, but I love this concept so much I would definitely come back for whoever is the chef in residence. The service was very good, the atmosphere is cool and comfortable. My only minor complaint is the wine list skews toward baller bottles—I would like to see more esoteric (aka delicious without breaking the bank) choices. Overall though I will be back.

We went there with friends when they were hosting Chef Jeremiah Langhorne, chef and co-owner of The Dabney in Washington, D.C. The drinks were a bit disappointing but the food was fantastic - fantastic. However, this obviously depends on the chef operating when you dine there. It was surprisingly not expensive for the quantity and quality. The restaurant is spacious and nice, with a big open kitchen. Unfortunately and this is sad when you're having great food, the service was terrible... We waited for half and hour before somebody took our order. They forgot 3 dishes and we had to reorder them. The dishes arrived in the most random order and the cornbread along with the side of potatoes were served last, after we were done with the entrees...

Come for the playlist, stay for the food. I’ve gone to Chef JJ’s residency three times and it’s been great every time. Chef constantly delivers on tasty food - I’ve had everything but the prime rib. You can easily find yourself lost in the groove of the music, libations, and delicious cuisine.

Went to a NYC Food and Wine dinner there Friday night. It was fabulous.
I hadn't been there for a couple of years, but do go regularly to the Chefs Club in Aspen.
