The food here is amazing. It’s a bit small, and we were lucky to get a table without booking, but would 100% recommend the Ravioli di Formaggio “Il Punto” - the sauce was unreal!

Translated from Italian meaning the point, Il Punto is a gem located little off the beaten path on 9th Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen has brought together patrons from all walks of life to share in the joy of authentic Italian cuisine where we came tonight for dinner as first timers. Reservation was easily made via Yelp and highly recommended. Some patrons with large groups were turned away. Upon entering this small but cozy packed establishment, we were greeted by the manager, Antonio and was promptly seated at our table for 4 with the tiled floors, wood work and festive Christmas decorations making one feel you’re in mood for the holidays. The well labeled menu featured many different options of Sicilian cuisine (house-made fresh pastas, grilled and roasted seafood, poultry and veal) with special dishes of the day. For starters, we opted to share the Caprese (Buffalo mozzarella cheese from Salerno, Italy.) As our main meal, we decided on Pappardelle alla Bolognese, Pollo alla Parmigiana and Calamari Fritti. To celebrate our dear Floridian guests, we toasted with an espresso martini, glass Prosecco and sparking waters their visit. Complimentary bread and bread sticks started our meal. Every dish is quite simply amazing and has that fresh home made from scratch authentic Italian food taste enough to make one full and content. Unfortunately we didn’t have any room for desserts. The staff were so attentive and friendly including our server Luis, and we were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door. We had an exceptional evening and will be back as we can recommend this place.

I actually enjoyed this authentic Italian cuisine. The menu features house-made fresh pastas, grilled and roasted seafood, poultry and veal. Excellent food, artfully presented in a pleasurable atmosphere. In addition, enjoy choosing from an extensive list of fine wines. Simple, yet classic, interior gives the perfect setting, for business or pleasure. Great location, just 4 short blocks to the Javits Center, 2 blocks to Port Authority, also close to Madison Square Garden, Penn Station and the Theatre District. Your escape to Italy is right here in Midtown Manhattan!

In NYC for a conference. Made a reservation on open table. Food is excellent! And the service was wonderful. The only glitch is that we (party of two) felt a little rushed to finish the appetizer, drinks and meal. We spent a total of one hour while feeling a little rushed. We had the calamari which was crisp and hot! I had the Milanese de pollo—perfect! And chocolate cake dessert.

Great meal at Il Punto. The cocktails, food, and service were amazing. The pear appetizer was delicious, and my "spaghetti with clams" did not disappoint. They have several flavors of tiramisu, and we tried pistachio, a must first pistachio lovers. We had an exceptional evening and will be back soon.

This great little Italian restaurant was a place we met friends for dinner and had a great time. We shared all of our dishes so everyone got to try something different and it was wonderful. The wait staff was unusually helpful considering there are number of reviews are saying that they're not friendly. There was no tip automatically added to our bill, but I left a great tip because of the wonderful help and awesome food that was delivered to our table. Came here for my daughter’s birthday. Make sure that you have reservation prior coming in. They are packed of people even on monday evening. Great food, great service. I love the taste of each food that we had. Salad with gelato and lamb chop is the one that made WOW! Thanks Anthony for the recommendation. Will be back soon

This is our second dinner at Il Punto in the last 2 months. Both times we’ve had wonderful food and service. I have to eat gluten free/dairy free and the menu is well labeled and the servers knowledgeable about these dietary restrictions. My husband is not GF/DF and loves the food as well. The food is fresh, delicious and authentically Italian. We will be back!

Overall pretty good Italian spot. Service was good (but could have been better…unless that’s not allowed in NYC). For starters, we had the seasonal salad with arugula, mango, and cherry tomatoes (pretty good, but not seasoned at all) and burrata with a wonderfully fresh basil pesto. Mains were the cioppino (delicious tomato broth) and a pasta with sausage (couldn’t pronounce, let alone remember, the name). Both were good but the pasta dish, like the salad, was under-seasoned.

This restaurant is very small and quaint, however extremely impressive. I loved their family style service feel and their Italian menus and flavor. Their staff was extremely friendly, helpful and very attentive. We rarely waited, they were extremely prompt and never rushed us. The meal was delicious and the company even better. I loved our experience!!! Highly recommend this for a family or business dinner… or just a night out with your favorite person. It’s an amazing spot!
