This place was great ill admit from walking past it looked small and more of a loud bar. I stopped and walked in noticed they had a great back oasis. The scenery was great and the food was so good. Our waiter took great care of us. Definitely stop in

Gary (I believe was his name) drew us in from the street, with the promises of happy hour, live music, and great food. He was absolutely delightful, explained the specials and menu to us. My son and I split the gumbo. It was a decent portion for both of us and absolutely delicious.
I did ask for water and a side of fries that never came, and I feel the well whiskey was a bit overpriced, but overall 4/5.

Our server Devon was pleasant. The food here was overall really good. I like to try things for the 1st time. The Bang Bang Shrimp was great (had a Nola twist on them). I had the Blacken Shrip PoBoy, which was just ok. I think it would have been better if fried. My daughter had chicken tenders (huge, good amount, and good taste). My wife had Gumbo, which she really enjoyed.

Kayla is a super personable bartender. We chatted about tequila and places to eat in NOLA.
Awesome energy AND she makes one mean dirty and not so dirty martini.
Picture is of Kayla as she helps us locate the best place to have brunch this weekend!!!

I love this place. The patio is secluded back off of Bourbon and there is live music in the bar up front. HUGE portions for a great price!! Our waitress (Cynthia) was SO friendly and welcoming too! Highly recommend.

Beautiful place, food was so good. Had the spinach dip for an app and chicken and funnel cake for dinner. Incredible food. Couldn’t even finish half of it. My husband had the gumbo, he did finish - every drop, lol.

Dinner time Mike literally drew us back with a subtle, old school bark from all the way up the street! The taunts of 2 for 1 beers and cocktails made the turn around for us SUPER easy! Upon greeting us at the door, he walked us to the courtyard ( Which is BREATHTAKING!), cleared off a table and made us feel right at home. The waiter was quick, polite and well spoken. Parting thoughts ...... Walk Bourbon, drink at Bourbon HEAT! If you feel the need to really heat things up THE CLUB upstairs opens at 8 and is scorching HOT!!

We ate dinner in the courtyard. We liked the music playing by the DJ but wanted to sit outside so we could hear eachother over dinner. The waiter was very nice and attentive. It is more of a bar/club but the food was really good. We had shrimp and grits, and an order of chicken tenders, and both were delicious. The tenders could have been a little more breaded for my prefrence, but definitely seasoned.
I would have gave them 5 stars but I took one away bc while we were sitting in the courtyard they started misting the plants. The automatic misters (like the ones you find in the grocery store) kept going off, basically getting us wet. Not wet, but damp for sure. It was just unexpected.

Good food, great service, in a little courtyard behind a bar. It was well shaded and they have misters go off every few minutes. Actually made it feel comfortable on a 92 degree early evening.

Cindy was an amazing server! The live music drew us in and the food kept us coming back for more! Amazing atmosphere and service. Thank you!

This place is down an alley off Bourbon Street and is a bit hard to find. The tables are in a courtyard. The waitress was friendly. The food was very greasy and it we not possible to finish it.

Typical Bourbon Street hangout... several bars to keep you imbibed... I like the courtyard bar as far as ambiance goes. The upstairs bar is where to go watch the Saints play if you're around. Becomes more of a dance club vibe at night btw. Bathrooms are clean for Bourbon Street standards.

The 711 Bourbon Heat is an open air restaurant, more on that later. I went to 711 Bourbon Heat in New Orleans, LA last night. Firstly, let me say when traveling I never eat at chain restaurants. With that being said here we go. I thoroughly enjoyed the red beans and rice, the catfish and jambalaya left something to be desired considering we were in the land of creole cooking. Another dish sampled was the Bayou shrimp and pasta, it had some flavor but was average at best. It compared to a pasta dish that one could receive at any chain restaurant in your home town. Back to this being an open air restaurant, near the end of the meal several small mice were noted through the restaurant space. This was brought to several members of restaurant staff and none of them seemed phased by this, manager included. My honest recommendation is don't waste your time here. On a positive note the very berry margarita and the hurricane from the bar were very tasteful and not overpowered by alcohol.

Did I really eat this? Food was horrible, truly disgusting. Jambalaya was red mush, gumbo was clearly prepared with a cheap canned roux. It was slimy, which made me think of eating spit. Blackened chicken was OK - a little dry and very thin. Portions are small for the price. On the upside, the courtyard was very nice for lunch and the wait staff did a great job.

This was the best place in New Orleans for Maw maws gumbo and Shrimp po boys!!!! Their remoulde sauce is to die for!!! My hubbie had the shrimp and alligator gumbo and I had the regular shrimp and sausage gumbo...truly the best ever!! The only thing I would say is they need to increase the portions on the gumbo. And the sodas tasted flat...but the food definetly made up for it!!!! Would love the recipe for the remoulade sauce 😉👍

This restaurant has terrible customer service and bland food. They don't allow any split checks. Will never be back! Not sure what that smell coming out of the restaurant was either, definitely not the food. Find another place to eat/drink.

Seems a little overpriced. Went during daytime, Had a bowl of chicken and andouille gumbo and it was fantastic! Very casual courtyard hangout for a quick lunch and a drink. Make sure to check out and ask the historic haunted staircase.
