We had a blast here on our first night in New Orleans. It's definitely a local bar with a welcoming vibe. I appreciated the late night good food. We were getting into town at 9pm on Thanksgiving and were able to eat good! We also ordered a couple drinks and played darts.
Nice Bar and grill for tourist looking to hang with locals very nice set up.
This place is great! Hung out, the people are nice bartenders are wonderful you can play pool, watch a ball game, throw darts, drink and they even have food…. nice atmosphere. The food was awesome it is a small menu but small menus mean more care for your food.
It has pizzazz!!!!!
Oh and did I say it was clean very very clean the ladies bathroom was immaculate.
They have a TV outside and benches if you smoke you do it outside really laid back lounge.
This place is AWESOME, although I may not be a local to the area ... I do come to New Orleans a ALOT!
... after going to Clesi's for dinner, a friend pulled this place up and it was more than expected. The staff was friendly, and the locals were kind.
This is my favorite bar in New Orleans, but to be completely transparent, it's my neighborhood bar. The service is excellent until it isn't. See, the bartenders are patrons themselves. They are kind, normal people who love this place as much as I do.
There's usually sports on, but they play music at the same time. And there's new friends abound, even for a guy who lives 3 doors down.
The Evangeline Lounge is an awsome place. The yellow light of the decoration gives a dreamy feel. The food was exceptional, with a menu that caters to both traditional and adventurous palates. The drink selection was extensive, with an impressive array of wines, spirits, and handcrafted cocktails.
Great little local bar, I wish there were ones like this in my hometown.

Evangeline's is a great neighborhood/sports bar. The inside of spacious and the pour is generous! Didn't order any food but, it smelled good! Parking can be a little bit of a challenge but, taking the time to find one is worth it.
A spacious interior, the bar also has outdoor seating. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something a little off the beaten path.
Great spot to get some beverages.. We didn't eat there yet..
