The croissant was good. The cream of was heavy and full of chocolate custard. The fresh oj was good. The seating out back was pleasant with the nice weather that day
You order at the counter and then take a seat while the staff prepare your food and bring it to you. I appreciated that they kept the tables clean and came around to remove empty dishes. The food is delicious! My husband and I each got a breakfast sandwich, his on a croissant and mine on an English muffin. Fresh, hot and tasty! For dessert I had the coconut cake, which was very light and full of coconut, and my husband had a chocolate croissant. My only complaint is the blatant admission from the cashier that they charge $7 to switch the meat on the breakfast sandwich from sausage to bacon because they don’t like to take custom orders so they make the cost high to do so. I find sausage to be inconsistent in flavor and texture, many times which I don’t like, so I preferred bacon on my sandwich… which made it around $17 with my choice to substitute the meat. You can see them putting the sandwiches together so for a simple change to cost so much extra was disappointing.
I wanted to come beds for so long and always missed the opportunities. Finally I made it today and had lunch and bought so much pastries lol sandwich for lunch was really good, cannot remember the name 😆 They were both delicious and filling. It was hard to find a parking space you don’t wanna go too far away from Magazine street to park for the safety of your car. It was worth a try, definitely be back again.
Another one of my favorite coffee shops and bistros locally. What’s not to love: good coffee offerings, pastries, sandwiches, salads, and tons of sweets to choose from. I really enjoy working remotely here as well. It can get very busy, so noise levels and seat availability is a factor. But I find that really early in the morning and later in the afternoon tends to be relatively slower than lunch time.
Also the yogurt parfait is one of my favorite items on the menu!
Service is polite, bright & airy, France atmosphere. Food is very tasty. L'atlantique salmon sandwich is simple but to die for. Environment is uplifting. Not quiet nor noisy. I appreciate an 'order at counter' experience when they still serve your meal. 👍🏾
I recently visited La Boulangerie French and was absolutely delighted with my experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with plenty of seating and a bright and airy decor. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The coffee was amazing! It was hot and freshly brewed, and the flavor was perfect. I also enjoyed the selection of bread and pastries.
I highly recommend La Boulangerie French for anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and a delightful selection of freshly baked bread and pastries.
We really enjoyed the ambiance of this place. I really felt as if we were in Paris again. The setting is limited in their rush hour, but they have our side seats also, from and back of building.
The staff were really nice and helpful.
We ordered the beagle with salmon. Two croissants with egg and sausage, and two pastries. The croissant was so fresh and delicious with every bite . We will definitely come back again when we visit our son at college. Here are some pictures.
Everything was amazing! It was our first time to New Orleans and the place was on the must go list. Coming from San Diego, I can say the quality, selection, service and taste was awesome esp. the chocolate / apple croissants and the double chocolate cake!. If you make it there, later you can take a 2 or 3- hour tour of the Garden distric and stroll on the Magazine Avenue. That would make a perfect day!
A must for patisserie lovers. The place is well located to consider as part of the itinerary within Garden District. It was the only place we've seen were people were actually queueing to go inside, although the queue advanced quite fast and the waiting time was negligible. The variety of things to order is quite large, it was hard to decide what to choose as everything seemed really tasty. I had an iced latte and a grilled cheese, and my friend had a cappuccino with an almond croissant (HIGHLY recommended). We spent 13 USD each. The attention was fast and the place is clean and efficient, but it is a bit noisy as there are too many people for such a small venue.
Amazing food and drinks, and always something new to choose from! Whether it's a sweet treat or going in for lunch, there something for everyone with all the sweet or savory options. The fresh breads are amazing, the fresh baked focacias are PHENOMENAL. They'll even slice the bread for you. And seems to stay busy. I'm not local but went twice and it stayed decently packed. Not a crazy wait time though, about 15 minutes for two meals at most. Lots of inside seating and some nice small tables outside for two. Roadside parking wasn't horrible, but may take a pass or two to claim a spot.
