Have ordered from this place several times now, so it's safe to form a solid opinion. This establishment offers your standard Chinese food menu, and they do a good job. The food isn't going to win any awards, but it won't offend your mouth either. If you're in the vacinity, and you're looking for decent quality, economically priced Chinese food; this should be your go-to spot. They did however forget to include fortune cookies on my last takeout order tho 😥
Friendly, good slection. When I visited this casual Chinese place about a year and a half ago, it was clean, the menu standard, the portions large, the server friendly. My family and I tried the General Tso’s chicken, Hunan beef, and shrimp with cashew nuts. All came with pork fried rice and egg rolls. They also brought us complimentary chicken sticks (very cool!). With drinks and tax it was $30. We enjoyed it.
I later went back with my friends Margo and Grant, and somehow the meal seemed alot better. Chinese donuts, orange beef, and dumplings especially.
Super clean, tasty and reasonably priced. We tried Dragon King for the first time with misgivings - it's in a not so great small strip mall and we've both had tragic mall Chinese. We have been pleasantly surprised every time we've been (about 6 so far). The staff are friendly, and you can see them preparing the food in front of you with real veggies and meat. As a general note, anyone who sniffs about Chinese food in the US not being authentic enough for their tastes has probably never had real Chinese food. Having traveled all over southern China and Hong Kong, I have to say that for the most part, you'll never find "real" Chinese food outside of places like SanFran and New York. And sometimes, that's not such a bad thing. I'd rather have General Tso's anyday than crunchy chicken feet. But the food that is wonderful in China is almost impossible to come by here - I'd LOVE to find some of the dishes I had in Ningbo and other places.
My one (tiny) gripe is that both time I've ordered Kung Pao it came without peanuts. I don't know if this is an oversight or if they just don't make it like that. Otherwise we've been very pleased with everything.
Easily the best counter service Chinese food in the city. Love the General Tsos and boneless spareribs are very good.
Exquisite. Me and my girlfriend just ordered the dinner for two here. Spring rolls, amazing. Crunchy things(for the soup) not stale like most places. The shrimp are phenomenally huge!!! Egg Drop soup is the best by far. Best 20 bucks you could spend on Oriental food.
Wonderful. Very beautiful place. Their foods and service were excellence. I got their Family Dinner Specials-Dinner for 4 last night, it was delicious. I loved their General Tso's Chicken and the soup.....My kids were happy with their food. I will keep coming back to Dragon King. It is good to have a good Chinese Restaurant near us.
Quick friendly service and the food was served hot and in huge portions. The dinner for two is more like a dinner four. The quality of food was a 7 out of 10.
I come here for to go. So far this has been the best Chinese take out. Don't sleep on the Beef Stick appetizer. Sesame Noodles and Pork Egg Roll. Sesame Chicken Combo to finish it off
Dragon King is the king! Online ordering for pickup with no crazy fees, food is always hot, and they are super quick! Great prices for good food.
My first time ordering here. I get the moo goo Gai pan whenever I'm unsure of a place. Much to my delight it was delicious! Lightly seasoned with chicken, water chestnuts, snow peas, bamboo shoots, carrot, mushrooms and bok choy. Just as it should be. And the gentleman that took my order was so professional and kind. I will definitely order again!
The food looks prety good. I got 2 of the unsweetened green teas. The curry shrimp looks pretty good. The wonton soup looks pretty standard. Ill try the taste once I get home. Its to-go only. They have alot of to go orders . anyway yhe interior looks nice and the food smells good. I do recommend.
I don't recall if I've ever got food from here before today, but I was on the hunt for some REAL GOOD beef fried rice and figured I'd give it a shot. What I got was mediocre beef fried rice (it was kind lacking in flavor), but possibly the best damn Beef Mei Fun I've ever had. I won't be trying the fried rice again unless they change up the recipe, but DK is now my go-to for my rice-noodle cravings.
Excellent takeout at a good price. Huge amounts of food. Dine-in leaves a bit to be desired but the food is great.
My go to quick, Chinese, take-out place in NOLA! The food is super cheap, delicious, and comes out fast. I love the crab rangoons, chicken and broccoli, and wonton soup.
Thank you for saving thanksgiving for my family dragon king! Delicious food and amazing service -- also stays open on Thanksgiving!!
