One of the best fried turkeys I've ever had. We had the cajun fried for Christmas. This bird was flavorful, juicy & moist. The service is warm and inviting. The lady taking orders truly makes you feel like you're talking to a an aunt in the family. I would recommend for any occasion.

This was the juiciest fried chicken I've had in my entire life. The batter was crunchy and spicy. The chicken tenders were larger cuts that I expected and were quite filling.

We love Mchardys! My grandmother knew this place was the only spot that came close to her fried chicken. She was an amazing cook and loved McHardys. As a busy mom, I get chicken and fries from them almost 3-4 times a month. It’s “always fresh and hot”. My children enjoy it and it is seasoned perfectly. My daughter isn’t a meat eater, but will request a “small leg because it’s tasty.” I love that she is able to get her protein. I appreciate a good hot meal for my kids when I don’t have time to cook. I have never had a disappointing meal from McHardys. They have street parking and take phone orders. The owners are some of the kindest people I’ve met, often coming to talk to the customers. You can tell this is a business all about family and relationships. They are also active in donating food to the community and giving back by hiring students and people who are often overlooked by society. I will continue to support these good people.

I grew up in New Orleans and ate Alexis Fried Chicken almost every day. Although, the chicken was good, I have not found anyone to compare to Alexis. I will say it’s 100 percent better than Manchu’s chicken. I thought I was getting some home made Mac and cheese, and I was really disappointed by the lack of respect for a great staple. What you serve for Mac and cheese is horrible, it was like eating some seasoned elbow macs with cheap powder cheese. The atmosphere was nice and the lil lady that served me was wonderful. Just for her smile alone, I will return.

I love love love this company. It is family owned and everytime I visit they are smiling and happy and provide top notch service. I live in the suburbs of New orleans about 30 miles away. Whenever I'm in the area I stop by and purchase chicken for my 93 yr old mother, my son and everyone I know that loves their chicken. The sides are amazing, the fruit punch and tea is to die for. Y a ll go check them out and I am a native new orleanian Ms Theo

Saks Fifth Avenue had a fest for 4th of July from here… OUTSTANDING!! The chicken was cooked to perfection, Potato salad was simply one-of-a-kind (this must be some hidden secret) , Coleslaw and Rolls just made it all complete. They will have us back for any parties or celebrations. Not to mention, we like to support our local community! Thanks, for ya’ll true dedication and love for what you do, it comes out in the food.

I have eaten at practically every fried chicken spot in the city and McHardy's is my favorite by far. Ever since I saw the Munchies video on Youtube highlighting the food and the amazing family, I was dying to try it. And boy, it didn't disappoint... The chicken is absolutely spectacular, so juicy, crispy, and well seasoned. If you ask me, Rahman is more like an artist than a fry cook. The way he takes command of his station is quite impressive, you can tell he is concentrating deeply on giving customers the best-fried chicken experience he possibly can. I hope this business stays put for a long long time! I've had the so-called "best-fried chicken" in New Orleans, Chicago, TN, and LA... They do not compare to McHardys one bit!
