I recently had the pleasure of dining at Popeye's Chicken in New Orleans, and it was an experience worth sharing. While I ventured in with curiosity about the much-talked-about Louisiana-style breading, my palate couldn't discern a significant difference from other regions. However, this slight observation was overshadowed by the remarkably moist and tender quality of the chicken. Each piece was expertly cooked, locking in a burst of flavors that danced on my taste buds. It's clear that Popeye's in New Orleans takes pride in their cooking, delivering a chicken that's not just fast food, but a true representation of the culinary excellence the city is known for. Whether you're a Popeye's aficionado or a first-timer, this location is a culinary gem in New Orleans, offering a taste that lingers pleasantly long after the meal is over. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors alike!
Was curious to see if Popeye's was better in Louisiana and it sure is! We ordered spicy but didn't actually taste any spice... Not sure if that was an error by the server but the overall quality of the food was so good, we decided to not complain. The staff here is friendly too.
All I have to say is, Southern Hospitality. Mrs Cynthia and her team made our experience at Popeye’s the best we ever had nationally.
Been going to Popeyes for forever but I love the style of this one the best. The food seems like better then the ones back home. The Cajun tenders was delicious and so was the baked Mac and cheese.
Awesome place for fried chicken wings!
Very juicy and fresh taste! 👍
But the floor (near the pickup area) is extremely sticky, not sure what happened.
The chicken, biscuits, cole slaw, fries and mashed potatoes was hot and fresh and delish. I'm from Florida and I honestly didn't taste any difference in flavor. The seating options are very limited for a busy place as this one. Please know what you want before getting to the counter! We got there at 12 noon on a Saturday and it was busy.
The food tastes the same as all other Popeyes guys but this location is pretty big and bright inside. The staff was great but the lines were alil confusing. You have to go to 3 different stations to get food to go. Pick your food up from the main counter then you go to the drink station, then they have a station for someone to bag your food. None of it is a chronological order but everyone was pleasant to my party.
We ate today (24.05) at the restaurant and had some chicken tenders and a spicy chicken Burger. The food was very good, hot and tasty and that for a very reasonable price.
The interior of the restaurant is unfortunately a little bit shabby and the restrooms were not usable. Furthermore there was not hand sanitizer, so we were unable to clean our hands before we eat the food.
When you come to New Orleans you must stop by this location. The food was good but the location has it's drawbacks with the shady characters outside.
Popeyes chicken not far down the road from Bourbon, provided a nice place in the morning to catch a quick bite to eat.
Nearly never eat chains when I am traveling but it was convenient, clean, and welcoming enough that it provided a great quick meal in the heart of New Orleans where you just want to dodge the crowd, and get a fast meal, before recharging and getting back out there.
Quick service, pleasant staff, and alright atmosphere provided outside of a strange and length dining room set up. Bit ran down, but, expected in the aged part of the city.
