If you go to Gris-Gris, GET the BLT Oysters - SOOO good! The Gumbo is tasty and FULL of chicken & sausage. The Seasonal Green Garden Salad was quite good also. Everything up to our entree was so good, we were slightly disappointed with our scallops. The sauce (some kind of root vegetable puree ,I think, I would have eaten on its own. Great flavor!) and greens that were served with the scallops were great, but the scallops themselves were kind of bland. I was expecting some zing or flavor to be on them based on how blackened they looked, but nope. Overall, I would go back, mainly for the BLT, but I would also like to try their red fish dish or the chicken and dumplings.

So this is a really nice spot right on the corner of Magazine and Hastings. We sat out side and were able to see 2 wedding parades go through. Food here was delicious and this is a cool spot for Date night or just cause.

Gris-Gris is always on my list of restaurants to dine in when I'm in NOLA. Shrimp and grits are phenomenal. Gumbo is too!

Food and drinks were nice. Staff was awkward and talking amongst themselves a little too much. Presentation of food is great. Sitting at the kitchen table I wish I saw tomatoes and other bits being washed instead of straight out of the container. Also cell phone touching mid prep was a Turnoff. But they’ve got some good food going on. I’d chance it again.

My second time here, and the menu has changed. It was a carb heavy dinner lol. Highly recommend "oyster pie" and bread pudding!! Shrimp and grits should be their signature but the shrimp was too salty :(

The balcony space was so nice!! Loved their appetizers even more than entree. The oyster BLT and chicken gizzard were both really delicious. Lamb shank and shrimp grits were great as well.

I have tried the house salad as a side/appetizer, the Shirmp & Grits for dinner, and for dessert the bread pudding comes with ice cream on top. The Shrimp & Grits was so good and tasty. The dessert was served hot with ice cream on top and was delicious. They have tables upstairs with the bar. I sit downstairs where they have bar style seating and they have more tables but are outside. The waitresses and chefs were friendly and courteous. I will be coming back here to try another dish. The restaurant is very nice inside as well.

Had a great time sitting at the chefs table. Everything we ate was great. Top hits were the shrimp and grits, and the chicken and dumplings.

Very good creole upscale food. The waitress made the whole experience better. The drinks were very good. I order the Flambeaux Shrimp, the ranch was a bit over powering, but I personally don't like ranch normally. The Double Pork Chop, was very good. I would visit again.

Absolutely incredible! Lovely views and ambiance on the balcony. The staff was caring and the food delectable. I have been here twice. For dinner, our table had the braised lamb, the swordfish special, and the redfish. The meats were all so tender and sides paired excellently. For brunch, our table had the Oyster Salad, Shrimp & Grits, and Gumbo. 100% recommend Gris Gris, and will be coming back for sure
