This place has a cool patio overlooking Bourbon Street and the upstairs is nice and quiet compared to the streets below! The food was good. I recommend the gator bites (try both types) and the red beans and rice (which was so flavourful with a beautiful smoky taste). The gator was the best we’ve had, compared with multiple other places. Server was attentive and friendly.

Great food open late on the main drag of Bourbon street. Might be a long line outside but if you can make it in, it’s worth it. We stopped here around midnight on a Thursday. First, don’t do that, the street is packed and wild and the restaurant will be full. But we were starving so we waited it out. And honestly, once we were seated (an hour later), the service was prompt and attentive and the food was really good. We ordered several of their oyster dishes and a shrimp po boy. Possibly a bit too much sauce on the oysters for some people, but with enough bread you can slather that right up. I’d recommend visiting at a more appropriate hour, but if it’s late and you need food, this place is a go-to!

Good food, good service, and reasonably priced for the French quarter. The fish platter was plentiful, the buffalo chicken Po-boy was spicy hot but delicious, The other dish is fillet chicken and mash, also very nice. Desert was bread pudding.

My wife and I popped into Mambo's on a Wednesday night after a very short wait during a fantastic stroll up Bourbon Street. I loved how we could still hear the vibrant music outside and feel the vibe from the street while sitting comfortably to enjoy our meal. From seating to serving, this place stood out already with the staff greeting us with that pleasant Big Easy style and plenty of patience answering questions about their dishes and sharing authentic recommendations on request. I ordered a sampler with red beans and rice, sausage, crawfish etouffe, and gumbo with an appetizer of Lousiana crab cake. My wife got blackened red fish and we added blackened gator bites to that. Yeah. It was a lot. The star for us was pretty clearly the crab cakes. Good size, meaty, well seasoned, and with the perfect crunch outside. Next was the etouffe. After suffering through how messed up restaurants do it almost everywhere else I've been in the US, I was oh so satisfied. It had all the savory complexity I love in that dish, and it was truly on point with the right level of spice. The red beans and rice was delicious and I was sent into momentary euphoria as I savored bite after bite of that sausage that comes with it in the bowl. The redfish? Also fully legit! I could go on, but I don't think I need to. Bottom line: They know what they are doing at Mambo and they know how to treat you right. Go get some!

This place was excellent. All the food was nice and hot. Our party of 8 was served very timely. Oysters were really good, the sauce kicked it off. The taste of New Orleans trio was wonderful! I got taste 3 classic dishes at one time. Will definitely be back!

The food is very good. The Mambo’s Famous Oysters are a MUST! Gabrielle C. was our waitress and provided amazing service! She was very attentive to us. We got the shrimp and grits, red bean and rice with crispy chicken and the Mambo’s Famous Oysters and have no complaints! We’ll be back.

We were in town visiting for the 4th and had no clue where to eat from. We wanted the Bourbon St. area and a location kid friendly. We walked right in and were seated. Waitress came shortly afterward and took our order. She was helpful and provided great suggestions. It didn't take very long for the food to come, which we may have not noticed since the vibe from the selection of music was so good. The place gradually became packed, which let me know we came to the right place.

We wanted to have a table rooftop for supper but the (nice) guy at the entrance told us it could take 25 minutes before we get it as they had no control on the time clients leave. He offered us to come inside meanwhile, take a drink and look at the menu. Finally, it took max 10 minutes as the server (nice girl), went to check and a couple was already leaving. I had a Lime Frozen Margarita (mmmmm!) & Membo's favorite as I wanted to try a meal from Louisiana. It was delicious! My husband had a Bourbon St Flush and a Fried Fish Platter. 3 persons came during the supper to ask if everything was alright. Quite rare. We really enjoyed our night!
