Among the numerous restaurants and oyster bars we explored while seeking a quiet place to unwind, this spot stood out. Although the atmosphere lacked uniqueness, we chose it for a serene conversation away from the street noise. The service here was exceptional, surpassing others in terms of food and ambiance. Our order included a bottle of Pinot Noir, an oyster platter, and fried oysters. The oysters were not so fresh, and the fried oysters, accompanied by French fries, hush puppies, and bread, were somewhat average. Despite this, the outstanding service, highlighted by a spilled glass of wine promptly refilled at no extra charge, left a lasting impression.

Upon walking by a young guy tried to reel me in there to eat. I'm not much for those kinds of strategies but I agreed to have a few drinks. The bartender, khryschian was very polite and made some exceptional drinks. He clearly knows what he's doing and values his job.
One of the managers was nice enough to suggest some good places to eat without doing the usual "oh this place is the best". All said and done I ended up staying here longer than I initially expected I would, but that's alright because everyone that works here turned out to be pretty cool.
All in all don't let the microphone thing give you the wrong impression. They're just trying to get more customers in but they are really genuine people and the drink and food quality is exceptional.

The food and service were terrific. The couple at the table next to us asked if we liked our food. We told them yes, it was delicious. They then told us they had sampling food in the French Quarter for a few days, and this was the best they had tasted while in New Orleans. The portions were plentiful, and the drinks were strong. We were sitting by the window and had a very interesting view.

Great food. The staff was amazing. We did not wait very long for our food and drinks. While you can still hear the “noise” from outside its not terribly loud.

I definitely enjoyed stopping by here. My experience was great from start to finish. First off cahoots to BAM I was walking on the strip minding my business when she hollered "hey we have the best food and good drinks" lol so I decided to give them a try. My server/ bartender Christian (Chris) was super nice and attentive. I wanted to try the oysters so he gave me a recommendation I don't remember the name but I'll post the pics. They where the best charboil oyster I've had thus far. Then I had the stuffed fish topped with creole crawfish sauce with jambalaya rice. And let me tell you, they didn't miss a beat in the flavor. Everything was perfectly delicious. If your in the area I highly recommend trying them out.

This place was the first place we tried here in New Orleans. First time visitors and this place didn't disappoint! We were seated and greeted immediately. The staff was great. We tried the Fish Stuffed Cajun and the Bourbon Glazed Chicken. Both dishes were very flavorful and delicious. Would differently be back next time around.

This is some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. We’ve come here every night on our trip. The stuffed Cajun fish is incredible, as is the jambalaya, charbroiled oysters, the desserts, drinks— not a single thing has disappointed. Planning to go back again today to try the 🐊
Izzy is the best bartender ever! Go find him and say that LA Fun Events sent you!

We had dinner on the gallery so we could watch Bourbon Street fill up, it was a fun place to do that. Server was nice, restrooms were clean, and the food was great, street performers were just below. We shared the Bayou Sampler Platter.

We were strolling down Bourbon Street looking for something a little less dive-y than all the daiquiri and pizza joints (not that there is anything wrong with that- just not what we were looking for) when we came across this restaurant. Honestly, we had been eating seafood for a week and I was hoping for something a little different and the host/hawker at the door was like “give us a try- we do have some other options!” And I acquiesced.
I am SO glad I did. In the end, still ordered seafood because the Napoleon Shrimp and Grits sounded unique and delicious and I was absolutely correct. Hands down, the best shrimp and grits I have ever had. The fried green tomato adds this extra texture and flavor that is so special. And the Cajun cream sauce? Insane.
My husband had the chargrilled oysters, which we discovered on our trip to New Orleans is the best way to ever have oysters. I don’t normally like oysters at all- can’t make myself even eat them, but he insisted I try and I could not believe how good they were! Kind of like escargot but a much nicer texture.
He also had the Taste of the Bayou sampler and chose to have all 4. He had something similar at Acme Oyster last night and liked it way better from here. It all tasted really fresh.
The drinks were good, as well, though they were out of a couple of the things I wanted to try.
We couldn’t do dessert because we were too full.
It was a *little* more than we spent for other meals, but reasonable for the quality.
I would absolutely eat here again if we return to New Orleans.

Had the charbroiled oysters and didn’t even get a picture before the Husband and I scarfed them down. Absolutely fantastic. If you want good charbroiled oysters, I highly recommend this place. The bartender isadore is amazing !!!! & the staff are absolutely amazing and went out of their way to make recommendations. We will definitely be back here once we come back to New Orleans.

When for a quick lunch with 10 people. Service was pretty fast minus 1 order they missed to put in, which lengthened our visit. Friendly server and gave a free appetizer for the mistake. Food was pretty good, a bit rich but you are in New Orleans!

The food is very good and fresh. We got the fried gator and stuffed fish and loved it.

Just walking on Bourbon St and it looked like a place we had to try. Excellent spinach and artichoke dip, and great alligator bites. Loved the dipping sauce. Nick was our server and was so nice. THANKS NICK!!

Everything we tried was excellent. Izzy at the bar is charming and funny and a whiz with an oyster knife. He moves quick and takes care of everyone without breaking a sweat. Give that man a raise, seriously! We ordered a lot of items and he staggered putting them in so that we got everything super freshly made. Every oyster we had was great but the Bourbon St.-- Le Bayou's decadent take on Rockefeller is a must try. If you're looking for good food and even better people, Le Bayou is a must visit!

AWFUL, definitely the worst meal in NOLA.
4 of us ordered drinks, Nana thought we ordered meal, so she did. The service actually put her order in and brought out before we ever ordered our dinner. Two of us splitting, asked 3x for plate, never brought. I got up to ask another server who was in back folding napkins, he said sure, but continued to fold napkins. Another asked 3x for a glass for her bottled water, never received. The muffaletto had barely anything on it. One slice each of ham and salami. Server never came back after dropping off food, Nana wanted to send back, fish was dry and no flavor. Gumbo soup was not good. A good server returns with 5 minutes to check if everything is ok. A good server sees something barely touched and asks if something was wrong with the food since it was not eaten. Server was busy, but there were others standing around that could have and should have assisted. Manager was nice but offered no explanation of excuse for the awful service and food. He was young and seemed new. Server said fries came with the chicken salad, brought out finally after asking 2-3x and 10-15 minutes after food was delivered. Then the bill, there is a $6 charge for the fries. One table near us was waiting a good 15-20 minutes for the bill. The table on the other side had messed up orders. Seemed to have a food runner that either didn't know table numbers or they weren't on order. Several times brought wrong food to wrong table.
New floor staff? New kitchen staff? New management? I just can't believe the good reviews.

Table is wobbly, had to balance it with sugar packets. We've been here for 20 minutes and just got our drinks. I'm still here waiting on food, and I'll update this review after the food comes. Service is lousy so far.
Update: finally got the oyster appetizer. They were OK, nothing to brag about; still didn't get hot sauce or horseradish or bread with the appetizer like we did at Felix's last night. Still waiting on the main course, going on 45 minutes.
Final update (29 May 16): Food was good once it came, although my wife's oyster salad didn't come with dressing (she wasn't offered choices at ordering), and the food was first delivered to the wrong table. We had to ask for the dressing separately, and having our server Shannel rattle off three choices was the most she spoke to us the entire experience. We didn't see her again till she brought the check, 20 minutes after our drinks were empty. I probably would've been happier with the entire experience if we'd had a different server. We also observed the other tables she was responsible for, most with the same performance.
The food was good. I had the blackened shrimp and Jambalaya.
Since I'm not a 'local' and don't get to New Orleans often, I probably won't revisit this establishment if/when I go back to NOLA if I'm there only a day or two - too many other good places to eat! We'll wait in line for the Acme or Felix's next time.
Balance the tables and put some pep in the staff's step and this would be a fine establishment, I think!

Had dinner there last night and both the food and the staff was excellent!! Had the shrimp and grits and it was fantastic!! Our waitress Erica was amazing. The staff sang to me for my birthday and the manager even came to the table. They certainly made me feel special. I would definitely recommend this place!!

4 of us had quite the assortment of food...ya ya shrimp, alligator bites, shrimp n grits, the 4 bowl sampler (?) with the best yummy crawfish etoufee, redfish, hamburger, bread pudding. ..omg, everything was excellent! ! And our waiter was the best!!
Oh yeah, hurricanes and swampwaters. .....
Kaci Elise Champion
The shrimp and grits Napoleon was too good! Fried green tomatoes stacked with grits and shrimp in a cream sauce... You can't go wrong. The shrimp ya ya was an excellent dish, too. Our other dishes were wonderful, but those two were the highlights. This place was worth the stop!

Usually this is one of my favorite places to visit but ordered a burger and my husband told the waiter no onions or tomatoes and of course when he bought it there were the grilled onions so he sends it back and the burger comes back with nothing on it just meat and bread......I think most of that comes from the waiter trying to remember the order without writing it down, before u get to the computer to actually put that order in at least 3 tables will stop you and u will forget all about onions so the order was wrong my husband didn't even eat and the pasta I had was a bit salty considering I already have high blood pressure

The best place here on Bourbon Street an are waitress was so friendly an awesome Erica was the best

Don't do it! Previous reviews made my husband and I think that this was a must go place on our trip to New Orleans.... but we were so wrong. We opted to sit up on the balcony, which was the only nice part of our experience. The waitress was only nice to us until she found out we only wanted to order drinks and appetizers. Then she had nothing but an attitude and a lack of interest in waiting on our table. The food was some of the worst food we have ever eaten in general, not just in New Orleans. And sure enough, we both got stomach sick from it. There are so many other great restaurants in New Orleans... Don't waste your time or money here.

The food and drinks were great! My husband and I randomly stopped in and were pleasantly surprised when we were seated outside on the 2nd floor overlooking bourbon street. Such an awesome view to have during dinner. The shrimp and Tasso pasta and the jambalaya were perfect. Would definitely recommend!

The service is always top notch. The seafood, whether it's shrimp creole or crawfish etouffee, is always cooked perfectly. A 'must stop' every time I return to Nawlins!

The food is always amazing. I got great vibes from each of the waiters, waitress, cooks, and bartenders. You guys will always get 5 stars from me. Keep up the good work.

Our waiter and Celeste ..Great....I asked another waiter if we could fix our uneven table...Answer: if you feel like go ahead...and my husband had to fix it! He spoiled your good reputation in 2 seconds...
