Review The Court Of Two Sisters - New Orleans

Definitely glad we made a point of having brunch at The Court of Two Sisters. Incredible buffet selection of New Orleans classic food. Omelets made to order. Fantastic desserts, especially the bread pudding! Service was impeccable. Drinks were tasty. Highly recommend making a reservation while you're in town!

We visited for an early brunch buffet. The food was excellent. Lots of choices at the buffet including Creole favorites, standard breakfast dishes and salads. The desserts were extensive and tasty. A jazz band was playing, even for breakfast. Wonderful experience. We will return.

We had a fantastic meal at The Court of Two Sisters. The service was exemplary, and so friendly. There was a lady who I think her only job is to walk around and call everybody sweetie and hun which added a very nice touch of warmth. The buffet was out of this world. And we sat outside on one of the hottest days you would ever have in New Orleans for brunch and honestly it wasn’t bad. Don’t let that keep you away from the restaurant. They have plenty of shade and fans set up all over the place. So it was not too bad and there were no flies or anything like that. And the buffet was just spectacular.

Food is just okay (often the case she offered buffet-style), but it does include local fare. HOWEVER, the service was excellent and staff was friendly. The site has lots of history, is beautifully decorated, and live jazz bands add to the experience.

This place was a blessing since my wife and I have completely different opinions when choosing restaurants. The food and service were great. The indoor and outdoor sitting area was clean, comfortable, and enjoyable with lovely relaxing live music. We will definitely be back often.

Beautiful place for either Jazz Brunch, lunch, or dinner. Largest outdoor patio garden! Had dinner and it was wonderful. Crab cakes, Gumbo, BBQ Shrimp, Wedge Salad, and Airline Chicken. Carnessia was our waitress, and a delight. Creme Brulee for dessert. However, Bananas Foster was the hit! Lovely place to eat. I will be back.

Our first experience in New Orleans was here and it was a great way to start our trip. I personally had the gumbo, pork tenderloin and the bananas foster. The pork was wayyyy too sweet for me. The bananas foster was mild in sweetness in comparison. I would not get it if you are diabetic or leave off the sauce. Holy cow, I can't describe how sweet it was. Everything was delicious, I am just more of a savory type of person. My husband had the pasta and loved that. Robert was our waiter and he was lovely.

Being from the north, good cajun/creole food is hard to find. One of the main goals of our trip was to experience as much of the new foods as possible, and this ended up being an exceptional way to experience everything without the worry of paying for a full plate of someonthing we didn't like. They had all the cajun/creole favorites: gumbo, jambalaya, grits, grillades, turtle soup, and so much more, and it was all delicious! We went during one of their jazzy brunches, so we were treated to love music, too. Reservations were suggested, and when we tried to reserve a spot, it showed fully booked. We decided to chance it anyway, and they had plenty of walk-in availability. We went about a half hour after open, so definitely get there early if you want to be able to walk in. The courtyard was completely full, though, so you probably should reserve ahead of time if you want to eat outside. The music is inside, though, so eating inside is encouraged!

We enjoyed our food, but they were out of a bunch of things. Our server disappeared halfway through our meal and did not come back until we asked for the check. The ambiance was perfect.

So we actually came here twice. Once to just take a look around, because of how absolutely beautiful the porch seating is, and the second time to eat here. When we first arrived the host was absolutely excellent and friendly and invited us in to take a look. The design on the way to the porch is BEAUTIFUL. I love it. There is a fountain back there that is just absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant manager, Samuel, spotted me and my love and actually offered to take a photo of us, which we greatly appreciated. We decided that we would go eat there, and actually were told great things by my boyfriend’s mother and brother in law which further solidified the decision. We went in the next evening, and we were greeted by the hostess, Kerry. She was super friendly. She informed us that they were booked to the nines but went and spoke to the bar for us and came back to let us know they did have open tables at the bar. I highly recommend scheduling a reservation prior to coming here as a result, just to be safe, but we were happy regardless with the accommodation. Our server was Lynn and she was a doll. She was well versed in the menu and was very quick to grab our orders. We didn’t wait long for the food to arrive. I got veal and my love got filet mignon. It was absolutely excellent, and we actually shared our food because of how delicious both of our dishes were. The restaurant manager, Samuel, recognized us from the previous evening and made it a point to stop by and thank us for returning to the restaurant. He was super friendly and pleasant to speak with. I commend his staff for their friendliness and love that he was so welcoming. I will definitely come again if I find myself back in NOLA.

What a wonderful atmosphere and though some say it’s a tourist trap, it is a genuinely delicious NOLA experience. The mimosas were great, large variety at the all you can eat buffet, and all the servers and cooks were so nice.

We had a reservation for noon on a Saturday and it was a long line at the buffet. I'd say go later if you can. The atmosphere cannot be topped. The service was amazing. We had two (a team) taking care of us for drinks and a bit of conversation. The food was just so-so. I've been to far better buffets. The Eggs Benedict was a disappointment, eggs were hard. I tasted just about everything. The ribs were very good, but that's all can say about the food. I didn't have, but suggest you have an omelette because they make it in front of you and can be exactly the way you like it. Beware of the ground you walk on. The pavement is cobblestone and very uneven. Not the best for those with balance issues. The jazz was nice and a good background. So go for the atmosphere, NOT the food. You MUST sit outside, so if possible reserve ahead.

Nestled in the heart of the vibrant French Quarter of New Orleans, the Court of Two Sisters is a culinary haven where history, jazz, and delicious flavors converge. This iconic venue played host to our recent Duke Fuqua School of Business (GEMBA) college reunion, and it was an experience worth cherishing. In this post, I'll take you through our delightful journey at this elegant establishment, where reservations, live jazz, and a delectable buffet make for an unforgettable dining experience. A Buffet of Culinary Delights One of the highlights of dining at the Court of Two Sisters is their expansive buffet, offering a wide variety of tastings that cater to every palate. From classic Creole dishes to international flavors, the buffet is a treasure trove of culinary delights. As we perused the offerings, we couldn't help but be impressed by the variety and quality of the dishes. The seafood gumbo was rich and flavorful, the jambalaya was a perfect blend of spices, and the crawfish étouffée was a true taste of Louisiana. Vegetarians in our group were equally pleased with the diverse selection of salads and vegetarian-friendly options. The dessert section was equally tempting, with an array of sweet treats that included pralines, bread pudding, and beignets. Trust me; you won't leave this place with an empty stomach! Jazzing Up Your Brunch One of the unique aspects of dining at the Court of Two Sisters is the live jazz music that accompanies your meal. The soothing melodies of jazz create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere that perfectly complements the meal. As we dined, a talented jazz ensemble serenaded us with their soulful tunes. It's not every day that you get to enjoy brunch with live jazz music, and it truly elevated our dining experience. The music added a touch of sophistication and charm to an already elegant venue. An Ideal Venue for Special Occasions The Court of Two Sisters exudes an air of elegance and is the perfect setting for various special occasions. Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, hosting a wedding party, marking a birthday, or reuniting with old friends, this venue sets the stage for memorable moments. The beautiful courtyard, adorned with lush greenery and blooming flowers, provides a picturesque backdrop for your celebrations. The staff is attentive to your needs, making sure every detail is taken care of to ensure your event is a success. A Taste of History Beyond the exquisite food and live jazz, the Court of Two Sisters boasts a rich history that adds to its allure. The name itself pays homage to the sisters who once lived in the property, Emma and Bertha Camors. These two sisters were known for their gracious hospitality and culinary talents, a tradition that continues today at the restaurant. The historic courtyard, dating back to the 18th century, is a serene oasis in the heart of the bustling French Quarter. Walking through this courtyard feels like stepping back in time, and you can't help but appreciate the sense of history that permeates the place. Exceptional Service In addition to the delightful food, the impeccable service at the Court of Two Sisters is worth highlighting. Our server was not only attentive but also highly professional and courteous. They made us feel welcome and ensured that our dining experience was flawless. In conclusion, our visit to the Court of Two Sisters was a culinary journey through the heart of New Orleans' French Quarter. From the moment we made our reservations to the last bite of dessert, every aspect of the experience was exceptional. If you're seeking an elegant venue with a rich history, delectable cuisine, live jazz, and top-notch service for your special occasions, the Court of Two Sisters should be at the top of your list. #lifeafteradulting #courtoftwosisters #bourbonstreet #dukefuqua #frenchquarter

We were fortunate enough to get a same day dinner reservation for 3 people at 9p after our ghost tour on a Thursday night. We were seated almost immediately. The restrooms were very nice. Being a historic building, the bathroom doors would be too narrow for anyone who might be in a wheelchair. We were immediately given water and a few minutes later were greeted by our server. She was very friendly, personable and offered menu suggestions when we asked for a recommendation. We ordered the crab cake appetizer first. Our dinner selections were the gumbo, table side prepared caesar salad and blackened gulf fish. Once we placed our order a couple loaves of French bread we’re brought out. Along with the warm bread, we were given some salted butter. Shortly after the bread was dropped off, our crab cake appetizer was delivered. The crab cakes were fried to a perfect golden brown and served with a delicious sauce drizzled on top. The entrees arrived about 10 or so minutes later. Allowing us time to enjoy the romantic atmosphere of the court yard. The gumbo smelled really good as soon as it arrived to the table. The gumbo had sumptuous pieces of chicken and andoullie sausage. The flavor was well developed with hints of smoke and toasted spices. All served over a scoop of short grain white rice. The Caesar salad was prepared tableside by our server. Before she began, she asked if we preferred to leave out any of the ingredients for the dressing. We decided to leave them all in. Salad was delicious and had big croutons served on top. The gulf fish plate was a well seasoned red fish filet served with shrimp fried rice and a pineapple beurre blanc sauce. The combination of flavors was balanced and delicious. We were too full to order dessert but a couple of tables around us had ordered the bananas foster that is cooked tableside.

Ashae was an amazing server, she was attentive and her juice for our mimosas was great. We were seated inside but the courtyard was beautiful and so was the interior. The live music was fun to have as well. Jerry was also great, funny guy and a great singer. The food was okay, it is a buffet and has many options. I did enjoy the sausage and the prime rib was good as well. My friend enjoyed the shrimp and duck. I do wish the tablecloths were switched between guests, especially when there are stains on the table cloth. For the price and the amount of food we got I’d say it was pretty good. Service and atmosphere were great.
