Wowzer! This place isn't really "New Orleans", and think that's what makes it really special. Red Gravy is a special little find in the bustle of the CBD New Orleans. Unlike all the hotel tourist trap holes, this tiny rare find is sure to please the hungriest guest with absolute delight. The expansive menu is well rounded and offers a fantastic journey through the owners culinary history and travels. The dining room is small and the service can be occasionally slowed by the equally small kitchen (the owner herself masters) but every morsel of food is worth the wait. I love the attention to detail placed in every dish that's served - I've had a lot of them. The owner is passionate about her food, her business, and her customers. I honestly can not rave enough about this amazing food! Progressive Liberal minds welcome!

It was by far the best Italian food I have ever had for breakfast!!! The omelette is to die for. Bursting with flavor in every bite. The restaurant was very quaint and the staff were very hospitable. The smell, atmosphere, lighting---All around an excellent experience!!!

We were looking for a unique breakfast and definitely found it at Red Gravy. I was first impressed by the chalkboard outside that said "Be nice, Hate is not welcome here" We were sat immediately and drink orders we filled promptly, a spicy bloody mary and a mocha coffee with added alcohol. We ordered the recommended breakfast spaghetti and meatball and a skillet cake. The spaghetti sauce was awesome and the meatball prepared perfectly. The skillet cake was something unique. It was like a warm coffee cake with added bacon and cheese. Very good indeed. We spent a few dollars and expected to do so with such a complete meal and drinks for brunch. We were full until dinnertime. Well worth it.

This place rocks it. From the time you walk through the door, till you leaving, it's a great experience. Staff is friendly but not pushy or in your face. Food is SUPER good and fresh and spicy without burning. Lots of flavor for sure, a New Orleans spot not to miss. Worth getting out and stopping in. Every time I'm in town, I stop in for breakfast. 2 thumbs up for sure...

Very attentive & chill. When you walk in it smells divine! Our server was very smart in suggesting the breakfast spaghetti for brunch & make sure to add the meatball y’all! Plus the other thing I really look for & was given was time & space to enjoy my meal. Thank y’all for making my Sunday! Red Gravy has earned a new client who will def travel his hour for their well made Italian dishes. #ItalianFoodFprTheSoul

Best food experience we had in New Orleans. Service was impeccable and food was wonderful. Even my picky 9 yo enjoyed the spaghetti with red gravy, cheese board and bread. I will go back again when in town. Very quaint.

i came in for a solo dinner, visiting from out of town. i made the reservation a week in advance and all the staff were so pleasant in creating and facilitating my reservation! the host, megan, was friendly and made sure to greet all guests who came through the door with a smile. my server, kayley, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. she recommended the squash ravioli special, which was divine. i enjoyed dessert and my cocktail post-meal with a live jazz triplet. my experience here was phenomenal, and i can’t wait to refer this place to others! thank you all for a great experience.

When you think of New Orleans, great Italian food may not be at the top of your list, but after visiting Red Gravy, you’ll quickly learn there is so much more culinary creativity in this wonderful city! Without a doubt, crafting handmade pasta is an art, as is, bringing it all together in a menu, especially during these challenging times. Red Gravy is all aces here! The meatballs were massive and easily something that can be shared as an appetizer and the pasta carbonara was delightful. Service was delightful and engaging and I learnt a little more about John Coltrane. If you are in New Orleans, take a stroll up Magazine and take the time to enjoy this gem of a place.

Amazed that this place was empty when we got here on a Saturday morning, while a nameless place with subpar food a few blocks away had a massive line. If you eat breakfast anywhere during your trip to New Orleans, make it Red Gravy. Lots of options to choose from and great coffee. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is excellent, and the message in the menu will make you want to tip extra. Loved my meal here. Wish I didn't waste my time at the other place.

Walking up to the place was great and inviting the inside is very inspirational and motivating. Was greated within 5 mins by Leroy who also happen to be our waiter. He has a great and welcoming attitude from start to finish. You can tell he is an employee who loves to be working here. When you visit ask for him and you get the best dine in experience ever in the New Orleans area. The place was clean and the bathroom is amazing with decoration and love. We order the chicken & biscuit and shrimp Grits. The food was amazing complements to the chef. Make sure you bring an appetite cause it is very ful filling. Mimosas are on point just the bang you need. Atmosphere is relaxing with great music that is upset but not crazy. I would Defiently come back on my next visit to this cafe.

Delicious options for brunch. The server was great, considering how busy he was. I would look into reservations because it filled up quickly. Their specials change fairly often and I can't wait to get back to try out more! I will say it was a bit pricey considering I paid $18 for 2 slices of brioche, fresh strawberries, honey, and fresh ricotta. With that said, the group I was with had plenty of food leftover. I would definitely suggest adding one of their massive meatballs to anything

I adored this tiny restaurant. Decorations are beautiful and the food is delicious. I ordered their Famous Nanni Meatballs and the red gravy was one of the most delicious ever. The only thing to mention is that the size of the sides are very small and because of that, overpriced. But the rest of the dishes are more than ok. Really good size Go and discover it.
