The steak was absolutely amazing, cooked to the perfect temperature and sizzling hot, tender and with a perfect seasoning to enhance its natural flavor. The staff was above and beyond, they went way past hospitality and were so genuinely nice, and they all worked extremely well together to run the restaurant flawlessly.

After a horrible experience at another place we found this place and made reservations online and got seated about 15 after reservation time. The food came out on time the drinks were great and service was awesome.

I enjoyed my visit here for multiple reasons the food, the atmosphere and the staff. We were seated fairly quickly and our servers seemed genuinely interested in our well being which we liked. I had the garlic crusted halibut with lobster Mac and cheese. The fish was perfectly cooked and season well. My wife had the ribeye and mashed potatoes which she enjoyed as well. We both both had various cocktails but I recommend the blackberry sidecar. The portions sizes also are very generous so go there hungry.

I had an AMAZING time at Ruth Chris’s Steak house for Mother’s Day. Savannah was the hostess, and she started off my experience amazing with her beautiful smile, professionalism and a rose. Warren was my server and guided me beautifully through my entire meal. He recommended the blueberry sidecar after I told him my complicated palette, and it was PERFECT! I didn’t want for anything my stay. Isis was the topping on the cake. She passed by my table with a beautiful smile and left and $25 gift certificate for my next experience. I cannot wait to dine in again at Ruth Chris on Fulton!!

The food was, as always, incredible. Waiter was a little inattentive, but the Jr. Staff more than made up for it. It may seem odd to eat Ruth's Chris adjacent to French Quarter, but, if you want a perfect steak every time, this is the place.
Common Sense
By far the best steak I've had to date. My wife and I shared the porterhouse for two. We had it accompanied by the creamed spinach and sweet potato casserole. The porterhouse was cooked as I ordered it medium with a warm pink center. The seasoning was spot on. I've had creamed spinach at several other steakhouses, and I'd say this is probably the second best I've had. The sweet potato casserole was an added pleasure. It was more like a dessert and paired perfect with the steak. The service was great from the time we arrived. The hostess was very friendly and seated us immediately. Our server, Joseph, was the best he was knowledgeable of the food and drinks. He even gave a history lesson on the origins of Ruth Chris and its beginning in New Orleans. This was a great experience for both myself and my wife. We look forward to many more visits, only it will be near our home in Wisconsin.

We had dinner here our last night in New Orleans. It was an awesome way to end the trip. The food was amazing and Donnie gave us the best service of the entire trip. Honestly probably the best service I've ever received and I'm not new to fine dinning. I would definitely recommend if you're in New Orleans.

Being from Baltimore, I enjoyed my prime rib steak with some stuff crab mushrooms. But my daughter order crab cakes, and we were satisfied with the crab cakes. There was a taste that my Baltimore crab cakes weren't use to. It's like the batter was different or it was cooked in oil and not butter. Maryland, we love our crab cakes. Sorry, Ruth Chris my daughter and I weren't satisfied with the cakes. She's at XU, I wanted her to experience a new restaurant setting while I was in town.

Our server (Jimmy D) was amazing! He was very attentive and had amazing customer service. Our food was DELICIOUS! I eat my steak well done and the steak still was so tender and amazing, the chef definitely knew what he was doing!

Had a lovely evening celebrating this evening with my boyfriend. Specifically, our server, John, was beyond fantastic. From the very beginning, he was so helpful, attentive, and kind! The young woman who brought our entrees was fantastic as well! Very pleased with my trip, and it is entirely thanks to John! I’m hoping this review reaches whomever is needed, but please know, this young man is an excellent member of your staff and genuinely made our night!

We went here as a party of 5 last night to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday. We are from out of state and visiting our family who lives here. Being a special occasion, we chose to come here and experience it having never been. First off- this was the best food all of us have ever eaten. The crab cakes were absolutely out of this world. The stuffed mushrooms were outstanding. Then, to have even more deliciousness with the sea bass… wow. None of us even got steak since we didn’t have the hugest appetites to begin with and even having just gotten seafood this place was out of this world. Our server, Donnie, was excellent. He was caring, fluid, and attentive to us and made us feel so special. Some of us had a long day of travel and had just arrived (feeling slightly underdressed to this remarkably beautiful setting), yet he made us feel elaborate. We were visited by the drink manager to ensure everything was to par. Needless to say, it was. Thank you for making our night so special and thank you for the BEST food we’ve ever had!

I would most definitely go here again, the staff is super nice, well dressed, and make you feel wlecome, and overall amazing, the food is the best I've had, the steak is so flavorful, the loaded baked potato is amazing,Chris. The ravioli is the best I've had, the dessert is amazing, 10/10 would recommend and would go again, can't best ruths chris.

First off, I have to say this didn’t have to be a one star review. Aside from the following complaint, our waiter’s service was excellent. I had not expected to need to complain about this as I was sure it would be handled appropriately by management. Food allergies are a serious matter- not a matter of personal preference. To have a restaurant ignore them after specifically catering to them is wrong, reckless and negligent. I’ll start with my order, from the gluten free menu provided by the kitchen: Petite filet (medium rare) and shrimp Fire roasted corn Black truffle butter When my food came out, I received the filets, shrimp and corn, but no truffle butter. The filets were over cooked somewhat (our waiter offered to replace them at this point) and I started eating while hoping the truffle butter would arrive. Our waiter came back after a few minutes and I asked where my truffle butter was. He said that he had written down truffle crust instead of truffle butter and that he would get some. At this point I stopped him and asked if the “truffle crust” was gluten free, as I had not seen it on the menu. I’m not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to fine dining, so I wasn’t as suspicious of what I was served as I might have been otherwise. I mean, surely a high end establishment serving $50 plates would realize that a gluten free filet (marked as such) and truffle bread crust do not mix. Alas, this was not the case and I’d already eaten far too much to get off lightly. Our waiter was quite prompt in replacing the food with the correct gluten free options (less than 5 minutes to be exact) but the damage was already done. I can’t very well enjoy my food knowing the gastric pains I would face an hour later and I couldn’t convince myself to finish it or get the delicious-sounding gluten free chocolate dessert I saw in the menu. I wound up leaving the dinner party to return home early as I did not want to dampen the mood too much as I was feeling unwell about 30 minutes later. But even as my meal was cut short, management could not find it within themselves to even offer the slightest apologies for their mistake...they were wholly unwilling to comp even my horribly botched meal. As I understand it from the host, the management felt their duty was done by merely replacing the food- food I didn’t even get to enjoy.

Came during Mardi Gras day and did not have a reservation set! We were seated in 15 mins! Staff was really awesome and very knowledgeable about the wine and food selection! I ordered the surf and turf entree which came with a 6oz filet and TWO twin lobster tails! I repeat TWO lobster tails for only $59!!! You can not beat that price! I like my steak cooked well done so our server suggested that I have mines butterflied so it can be more cooked! Steak came out perfect! Not an ounce of pink in the middle but it was not over cooked either! The filet was super tender and still juicy! Overall great experience as always! They never seem to disappoint!!

Great experience! All wait staff were very professional and efficient with the service and the food was amazing. I can’t wait to visit again. I highly recommend the lobster macaroni & cheese, sweet potato casserole and spicy shrimp. 👌🏽

We had Christmas dinner there Christmas night. Reservations for 630. We waited well over an hour for out table and when we finally sat down no server came for 46 minutes. They finally brought my burnt steak and uncooked Augratin to me around 10pm. I was very unhappy with this chain.

Ate at the one in New Orleans. Atmosphere, staff, and food were all good. When we were on our last bites, husband and I realized, our plates were mixed up, we both ordered same dish just made differently. Next time we will have to order different dishes. I realized medium well is better than well done lol.

Michael and Bobby went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner special. Petite filet and rib eye were delicious - the brussel sprouts were delicious - the lobster Mac and cheese was okay - didn’t knock our socks off. Started with a chop salad which they graciously split for us at the table. Pricey dinner - excellent service!

Everything was great until I got my steak. Cut into it and it was cold cold cold. They warmed it but by then the rest of my food was cold. I have eaten here before with no problems. Highly disappointed this time. :(

Just ok. Sizzling Blue Crab Cakes appetizer left a bit to be desired. Crabmeat was kind of fishy. 16oz Ribeye ordered medium-rare was over-cooked to medium-well and was over-aged. It was tough and had a tangy taste and pungent odor. The waiter immediately removed it and had another sent. The 2nd steak was much better. All else was good and service was excellent as usual.
