We visited this restaurant our first night in New Orleans and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious the drinks were strong and tasty and the service was top notch! Our waiter was funny and gave excellent recommendations. The service was quick yet friendly. The vibe was vibing. We have absolutely no complaints! This is a must visit when in New Orleans.

We went to Mr Ed's just for the charbroiled oysters, based on a recommendation, and we weren't disappointed. The oysters were perfect. Light garlic butter, with thin parmesan crust. Delicious! We also had a bowl of their Creole Gumbo, which was so good. The service was quick and the staff were very polite and helpful. Mr Ed's is definitely worth a visit when in town.

This place did not disappoint. I was specifically looking for somewhere with good oysters and Mr. Ed’s didn’t disappoint. Everything was delicious! Roy, our server, was great. Their Hurricane is a must.

The restaurant was extremely busy with a party of 25 upstairs who our waitress was handling by herself, despite this Brittany was extremely attentive, she allowed me to taste test two of the wines before deciding on one. When I couldn't finish my dinner the box she brought out included utensils that I wouldn't have had at my hotel (it's the little things). On top of the extremely excellent service, the food was phenomenal. The Rockefeller oysters have destroyed my life and I will never recover. Highly recommended.

What a delightful restaurant. The food is good and the service was the friendliest and most attentive of the restaurants we visited in Nola. We tried the Louisiana Crawfish Pies, the Creole Redfish, and the Creole Gumbo. All the dishes were well seasoned, piping hot, and the portions were generous enough for us to share. Our server, Scott W. (according the receipt) was an absolute delight. He was friendly, super attentive, and was kind enough to not only give us recommendations on places to visit, but also asked around to give us recommendations for a good slice of pecan pie - something we really wanted to try for some reason, but Mr. Ed's doesn't offer. If you can get a seat in the upstairs dining area, take it - it's a bit quieter upstairs and just a pleasant place to sit. It's a restaurant we'd visit again when we're in the area.

I like dining rooms here the most than another oyster bars in New orleans compared to Acme Oyster and Felix's. More light, felt more clean and very comfortable. The haft shell fresh oyster is fresh and very tasty like another famous oyster bar, but we like cocktail sauce at Filix's more. Very robust flavor. The service was very good.

Food was delicious. Oysters were yummy. Best gumbo i had while visiting. My only complaint is the white rice was mixed with uncooked rice pretty badly. It was throughout it.

Cute little 2 story restaurant with super friendly and nice staff. There is probably always a line to get in though! We tried the fried alligator, the seafood platter, and the charbroiled oysters. I love raw oysters, and I'm not a big fan of cooked ones, BUT these charbroiled oysters were amazing!!! It comes with a piece of garlic bread, which was also very delicious. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Our first experience on a Wednesday was simply amazing. Great service and amazing food. The oyster butter was to die for. We returned that Friday and it was a completely different experience. To our shock the oyster butter was not the same, no comparison to whomever made it on Wednesday. We sat at the bar again but it was a less friendly bartender. For such a great first experience we are not sure about returning

The food and service was top notch! Coming from the bayou south of New Orleans where the seafood is coming straight off the boat daily, I can testify that the fish and shrimp were fresh! My husband had the Crawfish Crab Patty platter with the jambalaya, and the crab patty had hardly no filler and was delicious. The shrimp on top of each crab patty was equally as good. Gina was our waitress and was great! We will definitely be back!

I would give this place 10 Stars if I could! Do not leave NOLA without having their chargrilled oysters!! So good I’ll dream of them when I’m home. The crawfish po ‘boy was perfect, crunchy fresh French bread and the crawfish fried to perfection. The wait staff were so warm and friendly, I think all of them chatted and spoke to us. I felt like I was having lunch at a relatives house! Our server was Lyndsey and she was without a doubt the most thoughtful accomadating service we had at any restaurant in the city. She was great to recommend beverages we might like as well as food selections and just a joy to talk with. We enjoyed this place so much we went back for lunch the next day. Thank you Mr. Ed’s for making us the most memorable meals of this stay in NOLA. ❤️ We’ll look forward to returning some day.

Was my favorite spot in New Orleans. Charbroiled oysters were the best, bbq shrimp were amazing, the crawfish bread was rich and delicious, the crawfish pies were great, and the seafood nachos were to die and come back alive for. Favorite spot this trip. Oh and the service was great, ask for Kayla with the locs, shes was the 7th ward and beautiful.

This was the best meal I had my whole trip. Gumbo was good but average. However, chargrilled oysters and shrimp po’boy were both AMAZING! This place is a little gem

My husband said it was the best fried catfish he has ever eaten. Staff was friendly and the food came out pretty quick despite the fact that it was full.

Great food ,friendly people, waitress could have offered us drinks , desserts or at least a water refill, didn't like that 20% gratuity was added to each bill .

Extremely good service and food/drinks. The food was prepared perfectly. The only downside is it’s a bit expensive.

I ordered a salad and there was a bug in it! The manager was VERY rude and disrespectful about the situation, I was told he cannot control if a bug is in the food. I did not receive an apology or discount! I will never eat here again!
