I've heard amazing things about this place. Ive sadly not made time to stop in however last night ,I had the pleasure of a surprise to go dinner. Lets just say Cochon Butcher did Not disappoint!! 2 very well balanced to-go cosmos, paired with savory brussel sprouts, mac n cheese (OMG), black eyed pea CHILI ( wow) and a muffulleta (warmed up ) with a duck grilled cheese sammy. No, i promise i did not eat it all alone, BUT i might've! All i can say is I'm left wanting more. A trip to dine in is already in the works. Do not think twice, make a trip to them and you'll see why I'm still salivating over our to go order.

Cool place. Came here after visiting the WWII museum. Sat at the bar. Very lively vibes. Lots of small bites available. Favorite was the salmon belly. In the picture it's hidden under all the veggies. Brussels sprouts were delicious too.

Always an awesome experience. Perfect casual spot for lunch or dinner with a group. Service is very attentive, food and drinks always served quick as well. The menu is exceptional from top to bottom. Highly recommend the Pig Mac and mac & cheese. Get a charcuterie plate to share, you won’t regret it.

I love it, from food, from the service staff, the interior. I was overwhelmed by the display and varieties of duck, pork, beef products. Our first intention was trying the fried alligator with mayonnaise , but it was on the wrong menu from Cochon restaurant, though the staff was so nice and ordered it from the restaurant to serve it in their butcher. We had charcuterie boards, butcher burger, cat fish, “hot dog” (forgot the name), they’re all served with home made pickle, which was absolutely our favorite. All dishes were well seasoned, light and fresh, which brought like a sense of French cuisine to me. I definitely come back if I have a chance to. The chocolate cake and key lime cake were perfect, rich and creamy, the crust was crunchy soft. Sorry for the photos, I couldn’t make proper pictures because they were too good to wait.

Food was great. This place counter service. But dont worry about grabbing a table if it looks full. The table turnover is quick. By the time you order a table will available. The food came out almost instantly. It was fresh delicious and great portions. You def need a to-go box. The staff was super friendly, complimentary, and very welcoming. Cochon staff is full of allies, so its def a safe place to be.

Stop the car. Go to this restaurant. Order the sausage sampler and a couple of cocktails - the BlackBerry Beret and a Half Undressed. Oh is it good. Super laid back. Forget everything you thought you knew about sausage. Looking for fresh meats you can cook at home? This is your place. Fun place to take a group- or a date - whatever. Oh and buy a t-shirt.

Before I start my review let me help you if you are new to New Orleans if you look up Cochon Butcher and see the address on Google maps it's leading you to Cochon which is the higher end sister of Cochon Butcher which is actually just down 2 doors on Andrew Higgins Dr. Now for my review, Cochon Butcher is a great joint with good food and friendly people and great atmosphere. You walk up to the counter order your food and drinks and go find a table inside or out as you prefer and where there's room. They will find you to bring your drinks and your food when it's ready. Now as for my companion and my food I ordered the Carolina BBQ sandwich with the Cole slaw on the side not on the sandwich and a side order of potato salad and he ordered the Butcher Burger with in house made potato chips. This will be short both of the sandwiches and the sides were great as simple as that just great.

If I had the balls to open a bricks and mortar food business, it would be like Cochon Butcher but with a big smoker and Asado grill in the kitchen. We had a tasting plate of different charcuterie and sausage, which I ordered after going though the options with the awesome staff who had the patience of a saint with all my questions. Meat and menu knowledge was on point. Everything on the serving boards were slightly different with a range of textures, taste and heat. All amazing. I love the fact that this is a working butchery inside a casual restaurant/bar with all of their great products available over the counter. They have a restaurant 20 metres down the road, which we'll get to on the next trip.

As a tourist in New Orleans staying in the french quarter we had little idea of where to go for dinner besides the recommendations we saw online, however we took a recommendation from a friend to come here and we are sooooo happy we did. Our waitresses were awesome (I wish I remembered their names!!) and the food was incredible. The best short rib we've ever had. Mac and cheese was so good. Beer was amazing. Also the best bread EVER!! Would recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans
