Must get the calamari... They use the freshest squid and light batter. Some of the best calamari I've ever had. Try the NY style too. Fantastic authentic Italian dishes and wine menu is a great value.

By far the best kept secret of the New Haven Restaurant scene🍷🍷🍷 Food with an Italian/ European flare that’s absolutely delicious served in a warm relaxed atmosphere making dinner there as good as traveling to Italy without getting on an airplane. If you think you’re going to gat something better in NYC or anywhere else- you’re wrong. Highest recommendation 👨🏼🍳👨🏼🍳👨🏼🍳👨🏼🍳
The food is delicious. Many of the dishes are simple (e.g. pasta, marinara sauce, clams) but each component is exquisite (homemade, perfectly cooked pasta, great sauce, etc). The desserts are to die for. And the patio is lovely, especially when uncovered in the summer. The service is always good. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a classic Italian restaurant!
Excellent service. We had lunch on the patio. Caprese panini made me feel like I was in Italy. My companions raved about the seafood dishes.
Brilliant food. Outstanding staff. My wife loves the shrimp scampi, my go to is the eggplant parmesan. Excellent classic Italian dishes and delicious specials. This is best in class of New Haven's amazing Italian restaurants and I realize that's saying a lot.
They have outdoor seating most of the year available in front of the restaurant. Service is prompt. Vegetarian friendly menu. Highly recommended.
The food was excellent,the atmosphere was beautiful and the staff pleasant and accommodating. The weather also cooperated. Making for a perfect evening meal served alfresco. I had the pasta fazool for an appetizer and it hade great depth of flavor and well thought out presentation.
An amazing little local Italian restaurant in the heart of East Rock. The ambiance is intimate and great for a date night. Even with limited seating you never feel rushed. The fig pizza was incredible and the creme brulee was one of the best I've had.
