Honestly I loved this place. This was the best Italian food I have ever had. The meatballs were to die for. Next time I want a plate of meatballs with sauce and a couple of homemade ravioli. The bathrooms were so clean and neat. The service as not lightening fast but so worth the wait. The waitress's personality made up for the wait she was awesome. Can't wait to go back to PA to have this experience again. Oh and the desserts were all good. We each got a different kind and took them home and shared them. High five to The Ladies of the Dukes.
Excellent food and superb service!! I had the Home made platter. Very nice portion size , as I had a lot to take home for another meal. This was my first visit at this establishment and I will definitely visit again!

I love this place! They are only open on Sundays, and you may have to wait as the place is always packed, but the food is worth the wait. Keep in mind that this is Italian American food, not the cuisine of Italy itself. There are very generous servings and lots of delicious sauce on your choice of Ravioli, Cavatelli, Chicken Parmesan or Spaghetti. Everything is homemade - including the delicious salad dressing. There is no alcohol, but you can BYOB. I understand that all of the staff here is volunteer and the cost of your meal goes towards maintaining the building. The ladies organization that operates the restaurant also uses profits for charitable purposes. This is a very unique little spot, and a treat not to be missed.
Went for the first time today and was amazed with everything. The bread was great but the spaghetti and meatballs was amazing. We will definitely be back again!!
PERFECT!!!. Only open on Sundays and it is worth the wait every week!!!!
I have never had a bad meal here and the staff put so much into making it right!!! Get here on Sunday!!
Delicious. Great Italian food, the sauce is amazing. The ladies are great, always friendly. I was going to say it's a shame they are only open once a week on Sunday, but I think that's what makes it a special place. I don't think I have ever left the restaurant disappointed or hungry. Keep up the great work, and since a lot to the profits go to charity, my hats off and a sincere thank you.
Fantastic Authentic Italian. Great place! Open one day a week so you better get there and get there early!
We usually just use the pick up window for pastas and sauce. Dining in is okay, but you don't go there for the atmosphere. (it's okay)

This review is very special to me. As a child I was lucky to have a grandmother who was, and still is, an amazing Italian home cook. I was also blessed to have a mother who was willing to learn my grandmother's methods for cooking homemade sauce and pastas, and is an amazing cook in her own right. When mom or grandma wanted a break from cooking on a Sunday my family went to an Italian restaurant just a stones throw away from my grandma's house called The Ladies of the Dukes . The Ladies of the Dukes is probably the most well-known restaurant in New Castle, PA. It has been in business for over 40 years, and it is only open on Sundays. It is not the fanciest restaurant, and it won't wow you with décor or fancy service. The Ladies of the Dukes will however provide you with some of the best homemade sauce, cavatelli, ravioli and pasta you will find anywhere. The secret to their success is simple. The cooks are all local Italian women who come together on Sunday's and cook their hearts out
