Mariner's Restaurant

More than just a dinner. My wife and I are from San Antonio, Tx, but we’re born and raised here in Natchitoches. We popped in late last night for the Ahi and steak. The food and service were both excellent! We were not surprised at all by the level of quality, when we found out that the new owners were actually our wedding planners back in 2002. They hosted our rehearsal dinner at the Mason Louisiane, we exchanged vows under a 200 year old oak tree on the riverbank and actually had our wedding reception at the Mariners! It was also ironic that I actually worked at the Mariners during the 80’s while attending NSU. So many amazing memories, I think we have a new tradition now. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the excellent bar service as well. Will definitely be back. Congratulations!

We usually sit in the cove when our favorite bartender -Lane is working. He is the best!!! Last night we sat at the bubbles bar while he was the bartender. We tried the Steak Eric- per recommendation and it was the best we have ever eaten! The platter was so big -2 of us shared it. We will definitely be back!

Great dining experience, not so great food. My steak came out well-done when I asked for medium, and my husband had a pepper-hot steak when he asked for no pepper. The waitress and management set us up with some dessert for our issues with the main meals. They also communicated with the kitchen about issues to prevent it from happening for the remainder of the night. Giving this place four stars because I do enjoy the atmosphere, the employees, and the drinks. I was just a bit frustrated with my food.
